My daughter makes a pot of coffee for me every morning

I just love how my daughter gets up and puts coffee on and when it is done she wakes me up. I used to be up before her when I didn't sleep well. Now with the cpap machine I sleep well, but I digress.
I am just now drinking the last mega cup of coffee. It’s about 16 ounces. I put quite a bit of milk in it and two Sweet and Low’s in it, and it’s just heaven. I drank the whole pot from morning till now.. now it is 1:30 pm… so in all this time I’ve been mylotting since getting up I have been drinking coffee. Yes, it’s real coffee with caffeine. I’m not nervous and coffee has been found to be good for the heart. I know… I know… the jury is still out with some folks… they say caffeine is bad. Well, it’s bad if it gives me the shakes, and it does if I take my breathing medicines… but if I don’t take them, it doesn’t make shake when I don’t take my breathing treatments. I only take them as needed now, cause I’m lots better.

hi dear PQ thats sweet your daughter prepares coffee for you and wakes you up when its done.
I also had three mugs of coffee by now and its soooo good. As right now I only drink instant coffee I prepare enough water for the day and use the Thermos bottle to keep it hot. That new instant coffee I found is soooo good but also very expensive so it will be a rare treat for special occasions.

That's great you have your coffee hot for all day Ritter. I got up first this morning so I out the coffee on. I started my chili and froze part and made some rice and will have rice with chili for this afternoon. I made some roasted potatoes and will pour some chili over them tonight. My coffee is Folger's. I just use the Mr Coffee coffee maker.

I like to add a package of hot cocoa to my cup of coffee and then top it off with creamer. Yum!

I do enjoy the smell of coffee being brewed in the morning. We used to get our favorite latter at Maxie Java. It is called a Milky Way and has a carmel flavor almost like the candy bar. At home we get the creamers that they have at the store now and use them in our coffee. Lastime my daughter got one of the new Bailey's kind and it was really good. There is alot of theories about coffee. I like it first thing in the morning because it is hot and because it helps my system work if you know what I mean. I try not to drink more than two cups or I am up all night. And I don't drink as much Dr. Pepper or it does the same thing to me. Sure am glad to hear you are doing so much better.

We had Moxie Java here long before Starbucks came. So I am a fan of Moxie. Starbucks tastes burnt to me.

I only drink the frappuccinos from Starbucks. I've not tried the hot coffees. I love those frappies.

I have never been much of a coffee drinker. I love my caffeine, but mine usually comes in iced tea form. I do drink a lot of iced tea. It is nice of your daughter to have a pot of coffee waiting for you when you wake up in the morning.
I don't see a problem with drinking a pot of coffee since you are not needing to take your breathing meds as often now. Just make sure you don't down a whole pot on a day you end up needing to take them.

I couldnt imagine drinking that much coffee. I use to work in a coffee shop so the smell gets to me. I do drink a cup once in awhile, I;m more a hot chocolate person. When I was working nights I use to drink 1 -2 cups of coffee a night, but I was so nervous, and jittering. If I didnt get it then I felt sick, so I went a week feeling ill and now dont drink it oftern.

Caffeine acts as a bronchodilator and so it helps when people are having breathing problems, so your big pot of coffee may help you that was as well. My hubby sets the coffee up and when I am home in the mornings he will bring me some. I am a coffee lover so I am prejudiced, but I think there is a lot of good to be said for drinking coffee.

Me too! I feel really healthy when I drink my coffee. The only time I don't is if I need to take a breathing treatment. I get too shaky then.

anything in moderation is okay, too much can make you an addict. I can't drink that much coffee I can tolerate 2 cups then I start getting jittery so I stop.

It doesn't bother me at all. I can't drink it if I take a breathing treatment, but that is just an interaction. I don't make strong coffee. Just one scoop for the whole pot.

You have a thoughtful daughter, PQ! We only have coffee on weekend mornings . . . well, my hubby can drink a couple coffee mugs full and I only take a couple sips (I love coffee, but I'm still nursing my son!). I remember back in the days I used to drink tons of coffee at work in the mornings - and my boss used to bring tons of donuts and pastries - so I'd be in heaven! But being off it for so long now, I'm positive I would get the shakes. But good you're not getting them!! Well, if you can handle it, drink up - hee hee!!! So glad you are doing a lot better.

How sweet to have a daughter like you have. This are the moments that I long to have a kid to call my own. That's why my wife nd I are working hard to have one in the near future. To have someone to share our ups and downs and eventually take good care of us when we are that old. Thanks

I used to make coffee for my dad as well, though he is not much of a coffee drinker so it's just one cup every morning.
