Well I want to adopt a puppy a poodle something small. My daughter is afraid of dogs so I'm trying to get her used to puppies. She was alright until two pit bulls started chasing her home then she got scared all over again.
Anyone know of any other small pets that might work for her?

I want a puppy so bad but we already have two dogs at my house and my dad says no more :( I always tell my boyfriend that when we live together someday I want to get a puppy and it would be cool if he could give one to me on Christmas with a bow around it lol.
If she's afraid of dogs then it would be best to start her off with being around small dogs or puppies. If she's afraid of other animals then maybe have her around cats, rabbits or other small animals. Dogs can definitely be a bit scary to a child but I'm sure she can easily get over it if you have her around puppies. She'd be able to see that not all dogs are scary and that most are nice and friendly. I love animals and dogs but there are some situations that do make me a bit nervous to be around a dog, especially if it's one I don't know. I'm not afraid of all dogs, but like anyone, I get a bit nervous around dogs that seem aggressive and not friendly at all.

We have a cat and she likes poodles and is not afraid of them so we are going to look and see.

Aww that's a good start. I hope she overcomes her fear and realizes that not all dogs are mean :)

I love to hear people who want to adopt a dog. There are so many nice and cute ones that need homes. Im so proud of you, good luck. Hope you find the perfect one.

I hope I find the perfect one also. Yes some people shouldn't have pets and some people have no choice but to give them up

I am thinking about getting a puppy, but there are a lot of things that I would have to think about. The first thing is that there are a lot of things that are in my house which I don't think that a puppy would get on well with. I would have to change a lot of things around in my house before I even thought about bringing one home. The second thing is that I work quite long hours, and I know that a dog would need attention for the majority of the day, and this is something that I couldn't guarantee that it would get, so I am not sure that it would be fair of me to buy it at this time.
