yeah i hear ya there, i think i sleep better on the weekends, but that could be cuz i drink on the weekends but not during the week. but mostly i think it's because i worry about what i have to do the next at work and after work and all that stuff just swarms around in my head.

Yes, I only get about 4 hours of sleep a night also. But I am doing much better. There have been times that I would not go to sleep for 3 days. So I am grateful for the 4 hours.

I have a solution, and it's tried and true! My son comes all the way up from Cape Cod to get it! I have to make his! It's a Sleep tea that I make myself. I grow the herbs but you can get dried ones at any health-food store that sells herbs.
SLEEP TEA
2 oz. of dried SPEARMINT - Do NOT use Peppermint of ANY kind (there are several)
1/2 oz. Dried Rosemary
1/2 oz. Dried Sage
Mix together and put in a tight-seal jar.
Get a TEA BALL, if you haven't one already. Do NOT use one of those screen types, THEY LEAK BITS OF THE HERBS INTO THE TEA. Place 1 measured tsp. - NO MORE of mix in the ball and place in a tea cup and cover with BOILING WATER AND LET STEEP FOR 2-3 MINUTES. REMEMBER: Herbs can BACKFIRE if you don't use them properly. You can drink up to 2 teacups -at night - NO MORE! Or 1 Coffee mug - normal size, not GIANT SIZE! - no cheating! THAT's VERY IMPORTANT! Add sugar or honey if you like. Go to bed! You'll sleep like a baby! Let me know how you make out. Grandy3

I have always been a terrible sleeper - ever since I was a teenager I would lie awake half the night - though in those days I could sleep from about 5 a.m. to midday. About 18 months ago I bought a magnetic underlay for the bed. It's fitted and has lots of magnets on it. You have it over the mattress but under your bottom sheet. It made a world of difference. I still wake up regularly - every 90 minutes is normal - but I'm finding it much more easy to fall back to sleep.
The other thng that I have found a real help in falling asleep in the first place is to use lavenver. I use lavender balm inside my nose (sounds gross, but I am a nose breather and mynose is often dry) and I spray lavender on my pillow.
Combined, I am sleeping the best sleep ever for me!

I do sometimes. I'll wear myself out and get so tired I'll get a second wind and can't fall asleep. Usually if i surf online or watch a boring TV show I'll get tired again and will finally fall asleep. :O)

SOMETIMES -- I've been up for days at a time, because I could not sleep. But then there's been days where I've slept like a baby.

I don't suffer from insomnia at all, infact I think I have a condition that is opposite to insomnia. I've being having a problem lately where all I want to do is sleep! I can get like 15 hours of sleep, wake up and still manage to fall asleep again. I've been trying to figure out why I do this and I think a lot of it has to do with escaping reality.

As a young girl i use to suffer really bad from Insomnia. I would go days without sleeping. I still don't sleep very well, but I do manage to get to sleep. It is not a easy thing to get past. I just started to give my self a bed time. I would just make sure that I was in the bed by a certain time and that seems to help me alot. good luck with that.
