I was working in a small company for two years. Recently, I got a job in a very big company. They told me that my work schedule will be six and a half hours per day. But now, i am forced to work for eight and a half hours. They put the blame on one another for giving me wrong information about my work timing at the time of joining. Is it fair on their part? I am not comfortable working there. Should I quit my job?

I think you have to see how things will go first. Weigh the worthiness of the company you are currently in. On my part, I think that the company should make a formal apology regarding this matter and lay out the options you can take. After all, it is their mistake to orient you with the working hours. If the company continues to ignore and dismisses the issue as insignificant, then you better find other jobs/companies who will earn your whole-hearted cooperation.

You should have signed the paperwork when you started working for that company, which has probably all the details about the working hours. If you have signed for 6.5 hrs, then you should get paid extra for the additional 2 hours that you work every day.
In any case, if you are not satisfied, you should check if you can go back to your old company. Personally, I wouldn't leave my job if I didn't have something else in my mind because I wouldn't be able to cover my living expenses.
You can clarify the working hours with your company, I am sure that since it's a big company, they should have a specific policy for their employees.
