What's the best way to RESIST temptation?

Temptation is the hardest to avoid especially when there people pressuring you to commit it. Like for a very basic example, when your classmate temps you to join them to cut class, or do drugs. When you can them that they are enjoying it and somewhat not having any trouble doing it. Or when your love life isn't going the way you want it and it one gorgeous woman/man comes along tempt you with a very thrilling FoRbiDdeN LoVe!!! ^__^
What do you think is the best way to avoid it?
As for me, i think I would first think about how this temptation will affect my life, and if i whether I can live with the consequences and live with the people that I might hurt.

hi,
for me i think the best way to resist temptation is to avoid those people who call you to join,of course to avoid this you also think the possible effect and affect to your life,so when i found that it will harm me i sill automatically avoid them.
