We have lots of holidays for festivals in my country. I am from India and Diwali (Festival of Lights) is around the corner. I usually take new clothes for my birthday and diwali alone. Rest of the time, I rarely take any new dresses or do shopping too. This time we have a huge list of items to buy. A LED TV, brand new Sofa, a new laptop and dresses for myself, my mom and dad. Me and my dad will share this and that way we can manage this huge celebration. I will be with my parents for 5 days in November and I am thrilled about it. Lots of crackers to burst too. Share your thoughts on your shopping during festivals.

I purchase cloths for my both daughter because she likes new cloths on Diwali festival. But not purchase sari for me because budget is low. Now everything price is hiking so hard to manage everything.

Here in the Philippines, we do shopping during Christmas season. It is a holiday where most employees get a 13th month bonus and even 14th month bonus for other companies. It is the way companies give back to the employee their dedication to their work or a reward for a one year working in the company.Just sharing.Have a great day!

It sounds so great for you. No wonder that the sales go well before the big festivals. Here we don't have many big festivals lately. The Christmas will be in December anyway. So I am not in a hurry to prepare for the presents yet. Usually I will buy the gifts a few weeks before Christmas so that I don't have to keep them in my side for a long time until I feel regretful to buy the wrong things

I have done a fair amount of shopping for Christmas, because I knew that it was something that I wanted to get done as early as I possibly could this year. One of the things that I was conscious about was the fact that I was very busy close to Christmas last year, and this meant that I was struggling to be able to get everything done in time. So this time I have decided that I am going to do everything months in advance so that I can just enjoy the time rather than having to worry about the things that I am having to buy for people.
