I know it had been months since the last of the Harry Potter series was over. But I haven't actually told anyone about what happened to me inside the theater. Yeah, I actually cried while I was watching the movie. Well, I don't know about you, guys. But I think it is because Harry Potter became like a friend to me. He has been present in my life since I was like in third grade. And I was actually starting to work when the final movie came out. So basically, Harry Potter was already part of my childhood and my growing up years. Honestly, I couldn't imagine growing up without his books and his movies. Perhaps Harry Potter is the literary and cinematic trademark of my generation. What do you think about this? :)

harry potter will be to you what star wars was to a generation that came before you. it's alright to cry, when you see the last parts of a great saga it's also like a phase or part of your life has just ended. :)

Yah! I guess it's like Star Wars. I really think Harry Potter's fame will last just like Star Wars' fame. Certainly, even the next generations will know and respect both saga.

i was also sad when this series ended... Since i was one r 2 years younger than Harry Potter and his friends when this came out. So they kind of grew up with me.. And i can totally relate to the movies, except fr the magic stuff. i don't think i can veer find another series that i will follow.

I'm not of the "Harry Potter Generation". Heck, I was grown when Star Wars came out. I was a Classic Trek sort of gal and even then I was in 8th grade. Still, I have enjoyed the books and movies. I've also read and enjoyed The Hunger Games books and the movie. There were some things I didn't like about the books, I felt the whole "House Elf Liberation Front" was unneeded and was glad to see that disappear in the movie.

Girl, that is sooo sweet. Harry Potter became a part of my life and my children's life too. Consider them my family even though we watch them in HBO instead of the big screen since we cannot afford to do it then. I haven't watched the final film just yet so thanks for reminding me. I asked my sister to download it so I can watch.

I was sad too when the last book for Harry Potter came out. I don't think I can still find another book series that would make me attached as how I have been attached to the Harry Potter series. But then, I can always watch them over and over again and be reminded that once in my childhood life, I was amazed, tricked, amused, entertained, terrified, tickled by a book titled, The Harry Potter. =)

I haven't told anyone, but I actually cried while reading the books! I even cursed J.K. a little, thinking "why did you have to kill so many people?". But, being sensible about it, it gave a bit of realism to the whole story. I read Harry Potter throughout my teen years and the books helped me learn English and made me love reading. But there was more to it: Harry Potter is abour friendship, and loyalty, and learning to fight over things worth fighting for. To answer your question, yes, it is a trademark that has shaped our generation. And I'm going to miss him too!
