Oh yes! This is contrary to my older post few years back. I love my company for the past 2 years so this is my 2nd time attending our Christmas party with them. I am pretty much excited about this upcoming event since the management decided to include a theme for everyone else to wear on during the occasion. It's a White Christmas (I know right?). But the catch is every team will have a sub-theme. So for our team, they got COSPLAY! Since gradeschool, I was an anime addict. I know cosplays could include other superheroes other than Japanese anime. But anime characters are really fun and exciting. I am planning to try Yuna as you see the attached image. I have asked a costume maker and it'll cost me around $60 for this. That is the reason I have not pushed for this expensive hobby during my childhood days even if I want to. All I need now is the motivation to do this by knowing the exciting prizes if ever I win. Wish me luck! AJA!

Wow. It reminds me of the Christmas parties we had at the office when I was still working. We too have themes before and I can't remember what it is now. But all I can remember is that we need to practice a dance co's their was a huge price for those team that dance very nice. hahaha. It was Jenifer Lopez's song that we dance I still don't remember the title. hahaha. I'm having a memory gap here. lol!
I too, is very excited for today christmas party too, though it's not a company or any institution but just a circle of friends Christmas party. Every year we do a costume party, last year we did rockstar, but this year we are also thinking of COSPLAY theme.
My sister in law is a cosplay fan, and she even won several awards and tickets for KPOP and others because of that. I told her to create me a costume for our party and she's very excited. I too hope I win this time. I'm tired of trying to win but won't. hahaha.

Your sister-in-law likes KPOP & cosplay??? Me too!!! Waaaaaah!
I really wanted to do cosplay but the expenses hinder me since cosplay means costly. Does your sister know how to sew any kind of costumes?
I really wanted to do Yuna. We have the same hair now.

yeah.. she is, and her latest are the boyfriends. She actually won a trophy when she joined a cosplay contest in her school. No she doesn't sew any costume, all she does is buy some really cheap stuff and create the costume herself. The one that she wore that she won a trophy was made of paper, cardboard, and other cheap materials.
Sometimes, she goes into our closet to see what she can use for her costume. She just matched stuff and or go with the not complicated kpop star to imitate so that she won't spend a lot for costume. She actually put more face art to make it more realistic.
Hope you'll able to do it and post pictures here :)).

Luck! You are lucky, because you can still attend your Christmas party this year. I heard the rumor, some people in my work place saying that they will get rid of the Christmas party this year. Some people might be disappointed, but it won't affect me a bit, since I don't attend every year though. So, I wish that you can win this costume contest, and bring a big prize home.
