I will never say I dont believe in a higher being. But there are alot of contradictions that i dont understand. This discussion has prolly been asked before but i havent seen the answer yet. My first question is, if the world was started from Adam and Eve...the only two creatures here, how come we are not all related. where did the division of people come from? How did some become black, some white, some brown, some with tight eyes and jet black hair, how did that all come about if we came from one man and one woman?

Well I may be wrong here but I believe the division happen at the tower of babel , everyone started to speak different language so they go and live at different places . Also I believe in certain things scientist believe that , we were all one race but because of where we live we look different and changes dont take place over night it may take thousand of years . Like if you eat a lot of carrot you start to get the color of a carrot .
Based on scientific facts , people that have dark skin normally comes from a harsh sunny climate which is true , so their skin become dark to protect it from the sun ( skin cancer) hair grow up to also protect them from the sun .
People with pale skin are normally found in snow climate (mountain) , their skin become pale so it can be easier to get sun light (vitamin D) since there is little sun light in the snow . Hair grown down to protect their ears from the cold. Also have longer hair all over the body to help keep them warmer .
Also if you read the story about Jacob and Esau , was the first twin and the first time they saw a baby born with white skin and red/blond hair . Also now you have some people that happen to have a baby with different race from the parents. The rest is just the miracle of God , he create all things to be unique and have different things that make them special .
Those are might though of what I interpret from the bible and also what I learn in science

I agree with silverfox. It is good that you are seeking. I advise that you read the Bible. It is a fact and this Scripture is God breathed. All the answers to your questions are written in the Bible. The divisions came from the story of the towel of babel. The Genesis which is The Beginning talks about how the world and the people were created by God.

iuliuxd you are partially correct. Scientists do want you to think, not parrot ancient myth as if it were fact.

The point is juliuxd that we do not know how we got this far from nothing. Nobody knows abut the people who wrote the various religious books made up some story or other to account for it but they are all just made up. Scientist are investigating how is happened not making up stories.

It has to do with the E word. To devout Christians and Jews Adam and Ever started it all. To Religious people who also believe in evolution say that humans evolved differently because of the climate they lived in.Me? I believe we All are cousins. Our African cousins are dark because of living in intense sun. Our European cousins live in less intense sun. And there have been any interracial lovers that causes the rest of the hues. There is no One shade of Black or brown. And Even whites are different hues. In a way this religious question has a scientific answer.

I would never tell a person their beliefs were silly. I respect their right to be as backward and silly as they wish. Religion isn't for everyone.

Yes sarahruthbeth I expect your right but to most christians Jesus was white whereas if he existed at all he was arabic living in a climate with a lot of sun so probably darkish skin. But as we see on this forum people believe what they want to believe no matter how silly it is.

These differences and colors were the result because Adam was not created from dust or mud quality and one of the ground , the angel collected it from different lands , including yellow, black and red .. Etc., as well as harsh and soft , etc. so we find people in different colors and in temperament , we find between them the strong and the weak, decent and scrooge , the cruel and compassionate .. Etc .
