New or Old version in "We are the World"

I love the older version because there are many great people on the album. I love Lionel Richie on the album as well. Stevie Wonder is great as well. I have not heard the newer version, but I do not like rap music. I think the tribute to Haiti is great.

I'm biased. Most of the artists that sang in the original version were my favorites when I was a very young teen and was still agog with music icons . But personally, I prefer "Do They Know It's Christmas" performed by the group of British and Irish artists called Band-aid. I like the beat and melody better. Still, whatever group, whatever version, I've always had connected with it. Like what you said, it really gives world peace a chance.

I love the old version. It brought music stars of the 1980's together to fight hunger. It brings back great childhood memories for me.

Well, since I remember that like it was yesterday, I will say the original version is better. The 80's were an awesome time. And I wish it were like that now.

I like the versions. Somehow the the way it sang is different from each others in some ways, as long as the message of the song is still there, I always listen to both versions of the song.

I still prefer the old version with Michael Jackson in it. It has never fail to give me goosebumps every single time that I watch it.
