Can you imagine vacationing in Europe someday?

I heard many people say, "I never can afford going to Europe, it's too expensive" and I can't blame them for saying it because I believe not so many people can really afford that extra luxery. Anyway, I also believe anything is possible and maybe if we dream enough and coupled with some luck we may find ourselves vacationing in different romantic places in Europe. It might even be our place for honeymoon someday for those who are not yet married...why not? LOL.
Well, if we did have a chance to go to Europe which places in Europe do you want to travel to and what will you be expecting in your travels in one of the most sought after places for travelling? For those who did travel to Europe, this is your time to brag...I mean share your experience in this fantastic place which is only an imagination from us till now :)

Yes, I can imagine myself touring in Europe. One way that I can imagine to get in there is through scholarships given in there. I might try to do it that way. But of course, I am trying now to be financially free to be able to live bountiful and be able to afford vacations in Europe in the near future. I just hope I can accelerate my yields and investments. The parts of Europe that really intrigues me is England, Paris and Italy. I am eyeing on them and hopefully I will be able to visit them. Who knows, I might have a great honey moon in Paris.
How about you betterdays? What places in Europe would you like to visit? Maybe I can get some ideas from you. I will try to fill it into my basket of goals that needs to be accomplished during my lifetime.

nothing wrong in dreaming...
i was a hometown-girl and homebody who had never taken a flight until my first year working after university. i never thought i'd travel the country and some parts of asia... but it came true. it was no longer just the books and mags i was reading or pictures i saw from the net... when i touched foreign soil.
so dreaming is good.
goodluck! keep motivated and inspired!

Hi there Myles! I'm doing good! How about you?
Yeah, I am planning to put it on my bucket list. It should add pressure on me again, but will certainly add up to my motivation and inspiration. I have never been out of the country so setting up such a goal without even setting my foot out in the nearby countries yet will be challenging enough. Anyway, there is nothing wrong to imagine and dream.

a definite yes. i've only been to 7 asian countries and i really really wanna do europe someday.
first on my list is the vatican city. it's a place my mom dreamed on visiting one day and we (my sister and i) plan on making it happen. i've also been invited several times to italy thru a family friend and distant relative. someday, we'll take that offer. ohh i could live on authentic italian pizza and pasta. hehe
after seeing the movie, under the tuscan sun... i wanted to visit tuscany. the place just pulls me. i can't explain it. the movie isn't that very remarkable, but i liked it.
one of my friends had a recent european tour and she told me paris is really beautiful both daytime and during the night. many has penned it the city of romance... and well... i'll know when i get there.
i believe the continent has a rich culture and beautiful spots to offer. it would be a dream vacation for family, for friends and even a romantic getaway. or it can be a cultural learning experience.

Wow mylesnarvaez, eating Italian pizza in italy? Mama mia!!!! delisiyosa! :D
Yes, I would love to bring my mother someday to Italy but not only to taste real Italian pizza but also to visit vatican because my mom is quite religious. I haven't seen the tuscan sun movie, but paris is indeed one place I dream of going to someday.
Yes AgentGulaman, let us dream together and who knows...the three of us might meet each other there :)

Yeah, I would love to set foot into Italy someday. I am intrigued by the country when I see it on the movies too. Wow! A European tour would be great! Now I can see myself saving up and investing hard to pull out future funds for such trips in the near future.
May we get to visit the places we would like to see!

I live in England, so naturally I have been to quite a lot of European destinations.
I have visited few countries purely to experience the culture, such as The Netherlands, Czech Republic and Poland, and also the beach holidays around Italy, France and Spain. I am a particular lover of Spain and have probably visited a couple of dozen different resorts there, plus I am returning to Spain this weekend for 10 days.
I can appreciate that this may sound very enticing to someone living a few thousand miles away, but the same applies here to someone visiting The Philippines. I would love to visit your country but the cost would be quite high due to the air flight, which is close to 7000 miles. You also have much easier access to such places as Malaysia or Australia, which again would be far more expensive from my home.

Australia is a couple of thousand miles south of The Philippines, which I admit is much further than I had realised. The Pacific Ocean is less populated than many parts of the world, which does tend to give a false impression when looking at a map. However, Australia is the opposite side of the world from Europe.
You may thinking of Austria, which is a part of Europe.

I hope you have a great trip coming, Asylum. Anyway, you're most welcome to visit our country. I didn't know our country is that far away from England and I didn't know that Australia is not far away from where I live, is this true? I thought all along that Australia is part of Europe, so is that a wrong belief? If Australia is near, then I would really want to go there especially to be able to have a chance to watch the Australian Tennis grandslam as I am a fan of tennis.

I actually live in Europe, so most of the holidays that I go to are around the other parts of Europe that are close by. I think that one of the nicest places that anybody could possibly visit around here is Italy, because of the fact that the scenery is nice and there are a lot of attractions. You can go to plenty of museums and this means that you are able to find a lot out about the place that you're visiting without having to put all that much effort into it. I would very much like to go back there one day because I enjoyed it so much the first time.

Hi GemmaR, that is really nice! How is living in Europe like? Can you tell us more about the people, what activities we could do there and interesting places to go to besides the museum in Italy? Because you live there now, for us people who are still dreaming of going there someday, is it really a place worth dreaming of in terms of having a fun trip?
Anyway, I hope you could go to Italy again and you could then share with us more your experience there. Happy mylotting!

I think several European countries are mentioned that I forgot are part of Europe. Does anyone know all the countries in Europe, how many they are and maybe their particular cultures?
Spain has a great influence in our country the Philippines because there were times when our country were conqured by Spain. Lots of spanish words are adopted in our language so spanish is the easiest foreign language for us to learn.

I would love to visit Europe. It is one of my goals in life. I am not sure which country I would go first but it would probably be where one of my DJ's that I promote or book lives. I think that would be the safest thing to do is go where I have a contact that can show me around and hang out with me if I go alone. I have a lot of choices due to this so I don't know which I would choose first.
Ideally however, I would love to spend a reasonable amount of time (like a month) over there that way I can visit other countries as well and not be restricted to time limits.

Hi DragonflyKingdom, staying for a month in Europe should be fantastic! One week would definitely be very short and 2 to 3 weeks just right, but staying for a month I would say would be the ideal and you could really do a lot already visiting several places in Europe in that span of time.
Well, as I can see it is highly possible for you to go there due to having some contacts there already. Let us know if you are able to go there and share your experience with us :)

I will definitly share for sure. I even created a task for mylotters to help me find destinations but it did not post. Then I tried another and it did not post. I have contacted my lot but no answer even though they have my money so we will see what happens next. I see they have no problem deleting comments and discussions quickly however lol

Hi there,
Well, Europe is one of the country I always dream of to be. Wishing that someday I can see and witness in person the Eiffel Tower in Paris. If only I have the means, I will gonna apply for a visa so I can achieve my dream. But, what to do, I do not have that much money for the visa application. How I wish, a great miracle will happen and will allow me to go to Europe particularly in Paris to personally take a picture the Eiffel Tower. Wondering a Fairy God Mother will grant this wish to me very soon.

Hello airasheila,
Well, I really hope your Fairy God Mother do come indeed. Anything is possible!
Maybe one day you got a great opportunity that gives you great income, or you may win the grand lottery, get an unexpected inheritance from someone..lol, and many other possible ways. It could be that somebody will petition you or you applied for work there and passed the application. For me, I guess I would rather go there for leisure than work, then I could really focus only on enjoying the place :)

Hi there,
I do believed that anything is possible through prayers and petitions. And I am really looking forward that my opportunity to go in the City of Paris will come true. As I love to see the Eiffel Tower in person. Honestly, if my opportunity to have a good employment in Europe comes, I will inform you and thank you for opening this topic. Who knows, what you have said will come true. The world is round and we cannot really predict what will happen tomorrow. Hence, if that good opportunity will be permitted by God, then so be it.

Ha no not really, and I'm not much of a traveller. A friend of mine whose a manager for a library just went there and saw Paris and London, and also Italy for her birthday with her friend Barb, her friend and daughter. She goes everywhere now and then and I have no idea how she can do that on a librarian's salary. She doesn't have kids though and is not married. I think she just lives with her mom, brother, SIL and their two kids so she doesn't pay much for rent, etc. either. I don't know if she even pays for her food. She is 50 yr old and this is what she does often, travels. Alot of the time alone to meet her other friends.

That seems mysterious to me, having said that she is a librarian and she is able to travel to many different countries including Europe...wow, how did she do that?
Maybe she is married to a rich man or have rich friends who answers her trip expenses.
I am not much of a traveller as well, that is why I think travelling sometimes to an unknown faraway place should make it even more exciting and interesting. The first time will always give the biggest thrill, I think.

Well, yes of course. Europe is my dream destination. I'd love to be able to visit Paris, France. I'd also love to go to Italy, Austria and Greece. The place just seems so romantic and has this old charm to it and it is simply irresistable! I hope to spend my honeymoon in Europe, and a family vacation there as well.

Yes, I would say Europe could be the most romantic places in the world. That may be the reason why so many people dream of having their honeymoon in Europe. Some of my Korean friends whom I teach English online had their honeymoon there.

I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT EUROPE! There are so many places I want to see...London, Paris, Venice, ahhhhh.....the list goes on!
You are right it is very expensive, but there are sites that you can actually get vacations for reasonable pricing...you book in advance, off times of the year, etc.
Maybe I will go and then be able to tell all my friends on Mylot about it!

Anyway, your idea of saving money by booking in advance didn't come to my mind but it is an excellent idea! I never travelled in other countries so it didn't come to my mind how advanced booking could save trip expenses.

Hi!
I really hope I can visit Europe someday. It's true, it's expensive to travel there. Anyway, I really would like to see the elegant edifices there. They are beautiful and elegantly designed. I also would like to be on top of the Eiffel Tower. :-) I hope God will grant my desires. :-)

Hi edvc77,
I also hope to be on top of the Eiffel tower someday. I remember my father used to show us the movie "An Affair To Remember" where the popular actor and actress of that movie have chosen to meet on that tower for their meeting place to get married at last. Sad that the actress have to meet an accident while she was so near the Eiffel Tower as she said to the actor that "it was the nearest thing to heaven" when they were able to meet again in the ending of the movie. It would surely be a great idea if we could be with our girlfriend or boyfriend on top of the eiffel tower.

Well, I am European, so I actually traveled a lot in Europe so far. There are so many amazing places there, from historical places, to party islands, shopping Meccas and much more, so whatever you are looking for, you'll probably find it in Europe, you know?
My favorite parts of Europe (out of the ones I have visited) have to be:
London, it's just such an amazing city!
Croatia, that has such a gorgeous coast line.
Prague, that has an old city that looks like it belongs in a fairytale.
Copenhagen, an amazing, fun city as well.
And the countryside in a lot of countries as well, I especially love Portugal's southern part.

Oh yes, how could we forget the popular London. I didn't realize Croatia is part of Europe because I thought it is a Russian country. Anyway, the places and activities you described really seemed very interesting so I hope that I could really find a way someday to go there. I have a feeling I probably would feel like a prince while I'm in that area. Who knows, I may even meet the King and Queen of England. LOL

I also hope my dream of travelling in Europe be realized. I wonder how many Filipinos are working there right now. I know in America and Canada, there are many but somehow I felt there would be fewer working in Europe. Does anyone know if my assessment is correct?
