Well, if you're sneezing like that you either have allergies or you're getting sick. Or it could just be a morning thing. I sometimes get those sneezing fits. I do not see them as good luck at all.

Well, I am glad it is not a cold. I know how allergies are. I also suffer from them. They are not pleasant. I hate when I wake up some mornings sneezing. Sometimes it takes me 10 to 15 minutes to stop.

Hatley aunty: It is due to very bad cold you may get --as you say first time in the cold season. take care aunty. cover your ears and not expose to cold air. put socks. wear sweaters if required. Here in canada -- it is very cold outside and we stay inside without exposing to cold.

That kind of allergic irritation can lead to a cold if it is not remedied, like by you opening the window and airing it out. Is this a product that the Center uses all the time, or is it something your roommate does?

If a woman lived to old age, she survived child birth and all the dangers of illness and over work. Therefor she must have been very lucky and very wise. And then we get to the myth of women gossiping - well it isn't much of a myth, because most women are more verbal than men. But they were often isolated in their homes so when they did get to visit with other women they talked a lot.

yes right sorry yes I think men gossip; more then we do as I listened to my husband talking to some of our friends and the g uys were apraising the women walking by saying one olg woman looked so sour you would think she had just sucked on a lemon and another one was eyeing this attracive young female police officer. and it was so funny as hey were all gossping and my hubby did not realize until I poked him as she w as the meter maid and our car was down five cars and the flag was up.they had talked and talked and all the time was ticking away.I got to the car in time to shove in some quarters then went back and pu pulled my hubby away as our groceries were getting hot in the Arizona heat.

According to middle cat, all human sniffling and sneezing is bad luck. She complains whenever I dare sneeze anywhere near her. She thinks that I am going to infect her with dirty human germs or something, I guess. Strange cat...

Oh, she is quite the smart cat. All three of them are a bit too smart for my good, but she is the only one who will vocalize an objection to my sneezing. The other two don't seem concerned about getting my germs; my boy just worries about my well-being, and my baby cat just wants for me to hold still so she can use me for a bed.

Here in the UK every one seems to be having the same problem with colds and even flu.I hate the cold, as I am forever getting all those nasty germs that seem to be going around no matter how hard I try to stay away from the people who have them. Hope you feel better soon, lets hope its a fluke and will pass, just as quick as the sneezes showed up.

Auntie H, I remember, from hearing broadcast introductions to Kodaly's Harry Janos Suite, that in Hungarian culture a sneeze means you're about to tell a whopper of a tall story. So I'm beginning to wonder whether to believe anything you've posted here!

I am so allergic to it,. y u ck.

Deodorant doesn't remove the smell. All it does is dull your sense of smell so you don't smell the smell - for the time being. If the staff were doing their job properly, they'd use a proper allergen filtering vacuum cleaner and remove those dust mites and perhaps wash the floor as well (can't if you're carpeted, but my floors are now laminate), rather than spray chemicals to hide the fact that they're not doing their job. In a number of Indian languages, including Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati, "Acha" means "good". On the whole, speakers of these languages seem to like my joke which begins "Why are Punjabi" (substitute with the language spoken by the person I'm telling it to) "speakers at their best when they have a cold?"

hi Hatley... I always go 'Aaaacckkkchoooo...' whenever I get cold.... The awful noise that I make can be heard even if you're a mile away... LOL... For some of them, it is indecent. My mom thinks I do it deliberately... I don't! It comes all of a sudden & do what I can, the noise is too much... Thankfully, I don't get it too often these days... There were times, when I'd get cold at the slightest weakness of my body... It'll pass dear... Just drink a lot of coffee and keep yourself very warm... Take care....

Well, if five are a good luck, I now know why I'm so UNlucky since I tend to sneeze in 10s or more! I hope it's not a cold, and that perhaps its just allergies-I got over a terrible sinus infection at the beginning of the month. So how many times in a row do you typically sneeze?

Yesterday I started to notice my allergies were acting up. My eyes were itchy and watery, I must've come in contact with something I was allergic to whilst at work. I believe I sneeze three times in a row? or twice? I forget which. It could just be allergies Hatley, let's hope it is. The season is in full bloom now, maybe late seasonal allergies?

Well it is good that it is not a cold. I wonder, it must be new housekeeping staff that don't know about your allergy. Really there should be notes of some sort that the staff keeps so they know which rooms they can spray the stuff in and which they can't. There are plenty of other ways to make a room smell fresh without the heavy chemical stuff that room deodorants give off.

I think that term 'old wives tale' was coined by an old codger. Men seem to think all we have to do is sit around and think up stuff and gossip. Drink some orange juice or otherwise get some vitamin C in you to stall that cold.

Aunt Hatley, as i heard from old wives tales, if we sneeze many times i the early morning, someone who admired us is thinking of us a lot. but, if we sneeze because of health problem like we allergy to certain smells then it is not accurate. Aunt, are you allergy to certain smell or not? Do take more warm food and drinks since nowadays the weather started to feel cold. Hope to hear more from you...

THere is something you plug that takes care of the dust mites (or so they say). I have seen it on TV but I never trust those things they sell there. THere are some deodorant smells that are worse than anything. I burned a couple of eggs once (was at the computer and forgot) and had the bright idea of burning incience. It`s not for me: I had to air the house for days

I have heard that sneezing in even number is lucky but in odd number is unlucky so 5 is unlucky if what I have heard is true. I think by this time you know if it was a sign of cold or not and if it is then I think you should try the yoga to get rid of it. I tried it day before yesterday and I felt a great relief.
