I use these sites to earn extra income as a writer Triond , Hubpages ,bukisa ,xomba but you have to submit a lot of materials at least a thousand articles befare you can hope to generate some dollars, at one site I also look for jobs rewritng articles at freelancer, elance. At least i can make 1-300 hundred usd a month from the jobs i get rewriting short articles. no brainer work , just use MS Word plus own skill in english and can do the rewriting work. can any one add on to this list on what other sites there are that one can earn from as a freelance writer online.SO far most of the earnins are from freelancer because if you have a good command of english it is quite easy to get the rewriting of articles jobs. are there any other sites like freelancer or elance or sites that one can make a decent amount as a freelance writer online.?

I'm trying to earn money writing online. But I'm not that confident having other people reading what I've written. I'm also not that confident about taking clients for writing jobs. I don't work so well under pressure and on a deadline.

hey heartRob, seriously, just sign up with freelancer and list down your job preferences and you will have daily updates on data entry jobs amongst other jobs you select and wish to be notified of. the site emails to you daily .Just browsing data entry positions today and there were more than 50 + available openings. ,bids ranging from 30 usd to 2k ,depending on project scale. but i suppose it works much like an auction to get the job ,you need to bid for it after studying the details on requirements.competing with other interested members. think if you are good at it ,can earn a dcent amount monthly. Link to freelancer at my profile. If you decide to sign up ,appreciate very much using the banner link,n i get credited, after which everyones good. Remember it is all free, to sign up an account and bid for jobs. Its a fair arrangement ,freelancer will only deduct their cut after you have been paid ,dont hafta spend a dime but just gotta invest time..

Can I ask something cashmystudio? If I am going to submit article to that new writing site, is admin going to check my written article before it will be posted on that site?

Making at least $300 per month is a nice target (for me). This is like making $10 on a daily basis. At one time, I had reached this landmark very easily. But now as I no longer write for that particular site, I am looking for other options to see if there could be something worthwhile for me to go on. Due to some stupid acts, I got my freelancer account banned. I did write back to them, but it was difficult getting back. I left the idea of trying to retrieve my account. But now, after reading your discussion I feel like going back. I know I am capable of earning those $300 a month. I am sure you too can earn the same amount which looks through your writing. Good luck!

Triond , Hubpages ,bukisa ,xomba are subjective and it takes long time to earn. You will have to look for those sites where the clients, businessmen or academic paper providers ask you to write articles. Then you will earn substantial money per article with great satisfaction. You need to qualify yourself to write purely original article and it must fulfill the seo standard. Mostly those who hire for writers, ask for the native writers and the article must pass through the copyscape etc.

I wrote some articles for hubpages but it needs a lot of time and effort, so I decided to change direction and start writing reviews on products. It works better for me and it's a lot easier now that I've found my writing style! I will check elance though, re-writing articles is something that I could do! Good luck with your writing jobs! :)

between elance and freelancer,i find it easier to get the article rewriting jobs from freelancer.com probably because so many postings are done daily. there is a huge demand for article rewriters .everyday when i check my email, freelancer will have at least 20 notificatins for me on rewriting jobs available. just log in to site and bid for them , free anyway. you only have to pay freeelancer the comission percentage when you are paid for any job.deducted from your fees for the work..

Do you get any jobs from the bids that you place on freelancer? I am a member there but I didn't get any jobs so far and I also found some fake jobs that turned out to be scams. @franseman: You can create a profile and write all your experience or even upload a portfolio with your work. It is like creating a full profile of yourself that the employers can visit before selecting you for the job.

Hi bryanwmc, I agree with you that to a certain extent the more articles you write (and publish) the more you'll earn. That's a general statement. However, I think that to increase your earnings as far as article writing is concerned you need to write articles that people would want to read i.e. you must produce great content. By acquring the necessary skills in writing informative, factual, interesting and useful content you're halfway towards getting a large viewership for your articles. To complete the process you'll need to have good knowledge of SEO that you can apply effectively in order for your great articles to appear in the top ranking pages of the many search engines available. These are no easy tasks but if you persevere you'll achieve your goal eventually.
