Our thoughts are with the eastern seaboard of the U.S. as the threat from the bigest storm ever threatens the East coast. The extensive preparations have been shown on our news broadcasts. All our best wishes as this storm bears down, any pain and damage that occurs will not be because of the lack of effort in trying to limit such.

Best wishes to those on the eatern seaboard for the next few days. I hope this isn't as bad as they are making it out to be. They seem to have had some time to prepare and I hope that will mean less mishaps. I will be thinking of them and hoping this goes over without alot of damage or deaths.

I am central in the US so I am relatively safe but I am glad that we can get updates on our friends by way of the internet. I know way too many people here online that I might worry about. It is good that precautions are being taken early on.

Lets hope that they have over estimated how bad the conditions will be, better to be prepared and reduce the effect of what could be a very bed storm.

The city that never sleeps is sleeping now, salt water is getting into everything in New York, the subway will take weeks to sort out as the corrosive salt water has to be cleaned out of everything. No transport moving anywhere even the cabs.

Yeah. Nothing is flying in or out of here. I've been keeping tabs on the weather since yesterday. We took what precautions we could, and we have now relocated to a hotel, because where we have been staying simply is not somewhere that seems wise to remain if the winds reach the intensity that has been forecast.

Staying is not wise but there are a few who have no option and for those we do hope as you do that the worst is less than expected.

This 'frankenstorm' come with plenty of punch, heavy rain, strong wind, high tide and cold chill from the north. Some part of the eastern costal region had already flooded with knee high water on the public street, while it is just the beginning stage, the damage is quite extensive already, you can imagine the aftermath when the storm will only pass after another one or two days by at least Tuesday. It is too dangerous to fly in this condition, at least four thousand of flights had to be cancelled from and to the eastern seaboard airports yesterday, airlines are not taking any chances on this one.

The worst is expected at about 20.00 at New York with New Jersey getting a high concentration of the storm which they say is still building at about 115 miles an hour.

Was in contact with mentalward of these pages, I know it's only about 10.00am but have not heard from her yet, I expect that she has had a power cut.

It looks like they are expecting some really bad weather.Let's hope this is just a precaution and there's not to much damage and nobody gets badly hurt.Though the weather forecasts don't look very promising. And Air Lines wouldn't cancel flights unless they were pretty sure that the bad weather was likely. The airlines primary motivation is making money. They would only cancel the flights if they thought there was a chance of losing a plane in the storms.anyway at least they are putting the safety of there passengers before their profits.

I don't expect there are many aircraft on the ground in the areas that expect the worst weather conditions.
