1000 posts per month !!! what do you think about it?

First of all, you should understand that the number beside your name is NOT a 'post count'. It would be more accurate to call it a 'discussion count': in other words, it increases by one (usually) for each individual discussion which you participate in. Since you may make MANY posts in a single discussion (especially if you reply at least once to most of the responses you get in your own discussions), you will be making many more posts than your User Rating actually shows. The second thing you should be aware of is that MyLot does NOT pay you according to the NUMBER of posts you make. It is the QUALITY of your participation over 24 hours that matters. You may spend hours posting 33 or 34 one or two line responses or comments every day, none of which add anything material to the discussions. You may, indeed, increase your User Rating by 1000 in a month but you will not be doing anything (or earn anything) worthwhile. If, on the other hand, you start ONE discussion each day which gets 10 or 20 responses and you maintain that discussion over the next few days by actually discussing the topic with your respondents, you will probably have made many more than 34 posts each day and will very likely have earned far more than you would by the other method but your User Rating will not have increased by nearly as much. It is all very well to have goals but they should be both realistic and worthwhile! If you make it your goal to write at least two paragraphs of descriptive and relevant information and to actively discuss topics (rather than just post an opinion and leave it at that), you will get far more satisfaction out of it, you will be adding something of value to the MyLot community and, moreover, you may find that you can reach and exceed the minimum payout every month (which is a nice bonus for all your hard work).

You are quite productive here! I'm more than twice as long as you are, and only have less than half your number. In average, I do only around 150 per month here.

That's an average of 33 topics posted or 33 responses or a combination thereof provided that no topic was deleted or was not commented on, I think. Yeah, 1,000 is realistic. But I wish I could say it's the same for me. I can hardly reach 300 in a month. Although I know I could squeeze in the time, my work is sometimes so intellectually draining that there are times when I'm logged in at myLot, I can't even make a decent response. But your topic might encourage others, especially the newer members, to be more active seeing that it's really possible to make that many posts

I have never been here for money. So I have never followed any rules or set targets for me on how many posts or comments I should make. But people have different agenda and I respect their will. So if you want to go ahead and devote more time here, very well go ahead and hopefully we will meet on many more discussions... Personally, I have no targets and I do not have any regularity to be here. I am here whenever I feel I should be here and do as much as I want to or at least feel comfortable with.

Wow.. that is a really high goal. I don't think i can reach that goal. i even find it hard to answer 10 discussion sometimes since i really think hard on what i am about to answer.. Also, i read the discussions well first.. I hope you meet your goal, just work hard and set a quota each day. You have to add at least 30 every day.. Good luck.

Yes you can do it last year I completed my target 1000 posts including discussions or responses reach the no. till 1000. But this is year very hard to make the target because no discussion in my mind and no time for responding on more responses. If you net speed and typing speed is good you can definitely will complete this goal.

God... 1000 posts in a month! I don't think I can set any target as of now... I'm doing this on my phone... Once I get laptop, I can set targets and accomplish them too, as my typing speed is 60 words per minute... On my mobile, my speed reduces to 10-20 words per minute... You really seem to have set nice target... Good luck to you with it.....:-)

Hmm that would sure be a lot of posting. I will have to keep track the first and last day of November to see how many numbers my total gets to by my name. I think I could possibly if I tried hard I could get to 1000 in a month. Its not going to be a goal for me I am simply just curious how much the number will change in onr month if I am very active. Good luck to you on this goal of yours. Keep us updated on your progress.

jo riyauro that takes so much time counting all that crap when y ou could just be posting and responding and having fun. I probably do do t at many but God knpws I do not count posts weekly daily or monthly. I just go on and do my best and make my best quality I can and a so do not break the r ules and lose earninbgs that w ay. I just post and have fun and kibitz and enjoy myself while making some earnings too.I know you are really going f ull tilt and you do well too b ut do not wear yourself out counting. it always g ave me a headache. lol for being fairly new here you are really doing well.

Hello my friend riyauro Ji, Well, Ido not have such task, this is only my pass time. Mylot is not my livilihood. I am here to remain in touch with you all and forget my daily routine for some time. I am member for more tahn 4 yrs now, but I hav enot reached even 4000 posts. I do for just 1 hr or so. May God bless You and have a great time

Some can do it and some of us can't. That depends on our time, how much we spend participating here in mylot. I am already here for 4 years and my number shows that I haven't done such thing - to post a thousand post in a month

Hello riyauro! :) That was really a big effort to do here. I always knew 1000 number can be gained every year. I didn't really aim for it though. But what you have accomplished is really a great effort. I wonder if your earnings increased faster than those number beside your name though? How much do you earn per month then? Well, I think it's not also how many your numbers are, it would be better to have bigger dollars than just numbers beside your name, isn't it? Anyways, I would be glad to hear your experience here... thanks! :)

I can see that you are really doing great! I would be happy to reach half of that. I also have a full time job and a family to take care of so I cannot devote my full time in writing and answering discussions. But whenever I have the time, I really devote it with myLot. Good luck!

Well all that i can say is try not to over stress yourself during your stay here in mylot and if you wanna earn some decent money try other method than doing this because it does not worth it .

I just set a target daily.. one thousand posts is quite a high number.. I just have like, answer 10-20 discussion per day. I can't make a target number for the number of discussions to make though, since sometimes no idea comes to my mind.

Hello Riya, I also fixed targets here on Mylot when I was a newbie here but not now days as I don't find sufficient time to log in here on Mylot but for sure one can easily post 1000 posts in a month and can increase activity rating by 1000 nos in a month.

I don't know how to accurately express what this topic meant to me when I've read through several pages of the responses. I feel what you're intending to do in a month is really unecessary. Especially since you have said several times not just something you say in a month anywhere but that you want that number behind your name to increase by 1000. That isn't what its for. It is a general over all rating of your activity but it is not attached solely to your earnings. You sound like you want to earn here every month despite being busy. I don't know how restricting that can be but let me tell you it is possible to make minimum of $10 in one month without raising your number by 300 because I have probably done that myself this month. I think by doing this you're helping to lose the integrity of what myLot is. Enjoy the site, do as you think you need to for your earning but this is unecessary to reach payment and it is surely too much in one month just to see the number by your name grow.

Good luck with your goal! I think I am going to start small and try for 200 per month and then add on each month. I am very busy with 2 jobs, college, and trying to raise a family, but would love to get to 1000 a month like you. Anyway, good luck and I hope you make.

what do you mean by posts? both discussions and comments? i have set a target of 50 comments per day for myself and i think by a month's time, i should be making 1500 comments of more. as for discussions started, i don't think i can make beyond 300 a month or less. i'd blow my brains out going beyond that.
