I believe that combat sports like boxing and martial arts is about patiece, sportsmanship and discipline. Once an athlete engage on this kind of sport, he must also be ready for the risk. And everybody has the option and choice whether they want to take the risk or not? i they don't want to, then better engage on other non- contact sports.

Yes I agree with you. In this field you really need lots of patience. As a beginner you will have to start with basics, from step 1 and so on. But, as a martial art enthusiast myself. I one experienced how it is to be a beginner. I kept wondering when can I execute that stunt perfectly. And sometimes i just wanted to skip the basics and go directly to techniques.
Of course, this is about fighting and self defense so you have to expect that youll get hurt or get bruises during the practice. You need to have a strong fighting spirit, specially when it comes to sparring. I hated sparring though, I must admit i afraid to get hurt or get hit in the face.

So,contact sports like these should not be banned. Before somebody enters this field, he or she have to think over if she can take the risks.

Although i think the sport is really dangerous, i do not think that it should be ban as it really shows the passion of man fighting spirit. I think what has to be done is actually have a set of rule for those combat sport such that people would minimise the injury suffered.

Actually as for professional boxing, I think most doctors will agree that it's really dangerous. Come on, it's one of the few sports where in you could actually get punch on your head not just a few times but probably even a thousand of times throughout your career, and hopefully it won't result to some neurological disorders like Alzheimer, paralysis, etc. In my opinion, some martial arts are practiced properly, in the sense that they are being taught and practice for the purpose of self-defense. I guess, I'll just go with the saying, with great power, comes with great responsibility.
