I pick up some coins while walking along streets. Coins such .05, .25 or even 1 peso in Philippine money. Those cents can save money from piggy bank. Some jeepney drivers throw cents and they do need it. It does not matter from me it still money for me. How about you guys?

When I was young and out with my Grandad he was forever picking up coins, he was quite fortunate in that respect he was always picking up coins or telling me how much he had found, he will pick up any coin. So I learnt from him, I have no shame in picking up coins if they are 1p or £1. My Grandad always told me if you look after your pennies the pounds would look after themselves.

50p - An old english coin from the days prior to decimal currency.
Oh yes, I certainly do. I have not seen any coins on the floor for a long while now, but whenever I do I pick them up. This has been a habit of mine all my life. I am hardly going to become wealthier by picking up a few small value coins in the street, but it simply seems natural to pick them up so I would not just walk past and ignore them.

If I saw coins on the floor then I would definitely pick them up no matter what value they were. I have a collecting jar in my bedroom that I keep for coins, and then just before Christmas every year I will take them to the supermarket and use them to pay for some presents for my friends and family. I find that every little helps, so I will never understand why people wouldn't go around and pick it up if they saw it. I imagine that most people walk past hundreds of pounds on the floor over the course of their lifetime.

I think most people pick up change if they see it on the road. I know my son used to go looking for change all over the street. Every time he saw a penny he would pick it up and hand i to me and ask him to hold it for him. And I did. I like when I find bills on the floor. Like maybe a single or a five dollar bill. Nice!!!

Oh, I do pick up anything that is exchangeable for money. That is how I make extra money. It may not be easy to do as the road or street is dirty or dusty but for the will of wanting to make money, nothing is too difficult.

I always do. I used to find a lot of Money in School every single day. One day I earned £0.60 (Thats $0.95) in less than half an hour.

It depends on where the coin is I mean, if I see one on a street that's, well, a bit filthy, I don't think I would. I know it's money, but I guess the risk of getting sick due to whatever filthiness of the coin isn't worth even a peso . But I do pick up a coin when I'm at a mall or the supermarket. I feel that the floors there are cleaner than those of the streets.

Yes I do. When I was little girl I was told by oldies that if I found coins I should not spend it but just keep it so I will continuously find money. I was also told to bury it so it will multiply.

Owyesss! I value every cent. I do a lot of things in life just to earn money. I just can't really understand why people disregard coins especially centavos. Without it you can never build a hundred, a thousand or even a million. I remember paying a tricycle driver an exact amount for my ride and it contains 5 centavos that has a hole. He furiously yelled at me telling me that those 5 centavos are not money and that he can't buy anything from it. I wanted to shout back that if it's not money then why is it shimmering as new as I got it as a change from a big supermarket. But I just walked away. I wanted to pick up what he threw away but my dignity mattered of course.
