I have read from a blog today about a nanny's fatal stabbing of the two children she's taking care of. I feel goosebumps reading through it. You can read the full story here (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/26/nyregion/fatal-stabbings-on-upper-west-side-nanny-is-arrested.html?_r=2&).
The mother is still at shock when she saw her murdered children. I can't help but cry. She's a blogger like me. She was forced to shutdown her blog because she's receiving harsh comments about leaving her children in the hands of unknown person. Some even said, that's the reason why they leave their work and just stay at home, blah, blah. I just don't get why some people are too harsh and would never care for other people's feelings especially this mother who is grieving for losing her two children both at the same time. No mother would ever want that to happen. Mothers always sacrifice much for their children and they are just few exceptions. The last thing we would want to see is to see our children in pain and seeing her children helplessly killed will really a the most terrible experience a mom can have. You can judge her but maybe it will just be helpful if we just pray for their family because that's what they need the most. I am a working mom and I have nanny too. I have great fears about my son. But I always trust God that He will take care of my son. So let us just pray for the mother and the entire family.

I feel very sad to hear this news and still wonder why this nanny has done something like this. I've read the news and said that she's critical but stable. I feel sorry for the mother who was being criticized by other people for leaving her children in the hands of a nanny. But from what I have read, she actually took her other daughter to her swimming lesson that day. Like you said, I think that no mother would want something like this to happen to her kids. It is indeed very painful for their family so I hope that instead of saying negative things, let us include them in our prayers. I hope that justice will be served.

Yes, she took her daughter to a swimming lesson then went back only to see this horrible situation. I feel so much for her. I feel the pain. I hope the people will stop talking because they are not on her feet. I am also praying that they will get over it and find peace. Thank you for the response.

Any update as to why this nanny did this horrible thing? I just can't find a valid reason for doing so.

I am searching fro update but the only news I found is that the Nanny is also awake. neighbors told police that the Nanny is going through depression and had lost weight. Maybe that triggers her to do such things. Because if she is in her right mind, she will never do such. I just don't know if the mother didn't notice the unusual behavior of the Nanny.

That's horrible people would treat her like that. As if this poor women isn't suffering enough. Unless she literally picked someone up off the street and said hey do ya wanna watch my kid you can't really call her irresponsible. She obviously didn't anticipate the Nanny would do such a thing. She probably sits around at home crying and blaming herself enough as it is. She does not need anyone to help her feel bad. The only one who should feel bad is that awful Nanny. I hope she goes to jail for a long time. I can't imagine how scared those poor little children were. God Bless

Yes, it's really tragic. I just can't imagine how painful it is with the parents especially the mother. I am a mother too and I can't even bear to see my son crying so how much seeing my own child this way. I hope they can recover from this so let us just pray for them. Thank you for the response.

That is truly awful...but the ones who gave her harsh comments are even more awful..
They should understand what the mother is going through.. Losing a child is already really hard, i can't even imagine losing 2.
I hope they get through it all.

Yes, people who don't care about other people's situations are really rude. The family especially the mother is grieving but still some people are giving harsh comments endlessly. I hope that the truth will come out and they get the justice they deserve. I am praying for their peace of mind. Thank you for the response.

I saw the news on the TV a couple of days ago. it was absolutely terrible. i did not really pay attention to the details because I was feeling bad that days and I did not want to feel even worst. But from what I remember, the crime was totally pointless. It was horrible and I could not imagine how the parents are feeling specially that they trusted the person that did it. It is just all too sad.

It breaks my heart to read such but this is really reality. I also wonder why the nanny to do it or I just hope someone else just do it. The nanny must have love the kids though we really can't tell what had happened. Only God knows and may the truth come out and justice be served. Thank you for the response.

I feel bad for the mother. Nobody has the right to judge anyone. If she chose to have a nanny so that she can be able to work and earn extra for her kids, why would we take it against her? We would like to provide everything that our family needs and even how hurtful and difficult it could be to leave the children under the care of others, we simply do not have the choice sometimes.
People who were sending out harsh comments should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of throwing out such hurtful words, why couldn't they just give consoling words to the poor mother?

That's right. There are just rude people who don;t think first before talking. Every parent wants the best for their children and that no one has the right to tell that to a mom because they just don't know how a working mom feels whenever we leave our children for work. Thank you for the response.

That is terrible. I'm a mother too and it's really a great loss and a sorrow. That is why I don't trust much nanny to take care of my son. Before hiring a nanny, one must know her well and where she comes from. Some nannies have traumas and problems in their families. They must be observed first before leaving your children to them. Let us just pray for the mother and her family.

According to the report, they know the nanny and even went to the nanny's place and treat her like a family. There's no concrete report why the nanny do that. This is my fear too because I a working and hiring a nanny is always a challenge to us since she and our son will be lift alone at home. Thank God our nannies are okay. Right, let us just pray for them.
