Loosing a pet and getting a new one....

First of all, you should clean your house before getting a new dog. Vacuum and bleach everything around, maybe throw away the previous dog's bedding, collars and dishes. Make sure you vaccinate the new puppy in time, so you won't need to go through all the suffering of loosing a pet because of a deadly virus.

I think it is okay.. you should not be scared to love a pet again.. each pet is different but most of them bring joy to your life.. Just think of the joy it willbring again and not just the sorrow.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i feel extremely bad for your dog and i know it must have been painful to loose a pet who is always close to you. I would like to recommend u that it is not harm in getting a new pet but it is very painful when u loose them and for this reason i think u should cancel your plan of getting a new one otherwise the old memories of your dog will always haunt u. What say?

Gosh I would say you know it better. I do not know your pet so it is hard to tell. You must bring a pet just to see it he or she is friendly or not to friendly to it. Just see how it reacts to other pets around. So then you will be able to decide whether to bring one or not.
