Later today, I went to Nokia Care office in order to ask for their help regarding my Nokia 5800 xpressmusic phone because I cannot anymore access the Net using 3G and even using wifi....the staff told me that my phone had been compromised and that it should be reformatted and since it is not anymore covered with warranty, I have to pay 560 Philippine pesos for their labor cost.
Immediately, upon hearing that kind of charge, I begun to think that maybe the solution is just a click away in the Net and that maybe the online community can help me and has solutions to my problems without costing me that said amount...
Well, to make the story short, I just followed what the online forum said regarding to my problem...and now, my phone is back to normal. And it did not cost me anything!

The labor cost must be given if the warranty or the guaranty of your phone is finished. It is quite usual but 560 pesos is little more.
I just used to repair my mobile phones myself if I find any software complains but if the problem is with it's board or with the batteries I just use to see a mechanic

But my point in here is that the lady staff did not even suggest to reset my phone to factory settings first...before she told me that my phone needs reformatting where in fact, I can actually do it myself...

Hi friend, good to hear about this, we can find a lot of things in net. If we provide the proper input of our problem in the search option, we will get various ways to solve our problem. You solved your problem without spending a dime and saved around 14 dollars, it is a great thing

There goes Nokia Care's money! seriously though, sometimes it is more trouble when you have to go to them to fix something that doesn't sound too complicated. Of course if it's still under warranty it will be practical to have them fix it for you. I haven't experienced availing of their service but a friend of mine was phone less for 3 months because it took them that look to fix her phone which is still under warranty.

And the most depressing part of it is that you will wait for almost a month before you will have to get your phone...

Sometimes like here in Mexixo its cheaper just to buy a new phone rather than fix one.Maybe you should do that.
