I feel the problem in usa is same as here in mx. The president is a name only. others really make decesions for him.

Yeah, i bet they are spending millions for those.. I really hate election commercials since most of them are very pretentious..
We have some politicians that are obviously campaigning already using their commercials, when it is not even okay to do it yet..

Like now- seems Obama in the usa is using the storm to get some needed votes.

Unfortunately there are many people who do not think all that well for themselves and believe the commercials based on the personality of the candidate or the celebrities that are for him. Money buys elections by who can afford to the most commercials just like regular commercials sell products. There are so many people here who go just by appearance or even lies and they vote and buy products based on that. They pay little attention to the record of the candidate or check out a product.

Unfortunately most people don't do that. Apparently for the general population repetition is what works. Thee are so many commercials for products were the same commercial it run consecutively one after the other or with a commercial for some other product in between. The political campaigns do the same thing. They think that repetition convinces many people and, unfortunately, it appears to work far too often.

I guess they feel, if we see their faces over and over again we might vote for them. Seems like the wrong reason to me.

But, do they have to run so many of them? Id think people can go and read about a candidate rather than see his face on tv every 15 minutes. Have a great day there.

I think you are right. Would be nice if they spent it more wisely.

You didn't think you could just take our manufacturing jobs did you? Welcome to Americanization. Soon you'll be fat and lazy, eating big macs, and shopping at Wal-mart. Ahh, the good life, enjoy you're heart attack.

I can tell you. They are spending more on that than saving on what is really important like any crisis that may occur. The election is an important matter in a since but, but the amount of money put on it is a waste I believe.

I agree, and those millions could be better spent on other things.

one against the other puttng each other down and yes they spend WAY to much wasted money when many others could use it for help..I believe they could cut back and help others at the commercials and get more votes..guess they want to be acting like one is better than the other.....so sad what people go through to be known...

Yeah, there are some politicians who have already started here too. It is annoying to see their faces on tv, showing off how many people they have helped and everything.. i find them very boastful. and not dedicated to serving the people at all.
