Hi Everyone,
Long story short, my grandmother has a cat, he is an adult male (Im not very sure how old, but not extremely old).
I visit my grandmother occasionally, and get along great with the cat, however lately when I pick him up, he just seems really heavy. Almost like 2 times heavier than he was previously. It is strange because he has not gotten any bigger or fatter or anything, he has his same original size, but is ALOT heavier for some unknown reason.
He also seems perfectly healthy and behaves fine, so It is just puzzling why he feels so heavy. Does anyone know why, or had experiences like this with cats?

I have a huge 7 year old cat. He's not fat, but he's solid muscles!
My guess is that your grandmother's cat is like Booboo, just packed with muscles.
My sister was complaining that she was losing inches but not weight, but while a pound of muscle is the same as pound of fat, it takes up a LOT less space!

I used to know a cat who looked humense! When you picked her up, however, it was all fur, there was a tiny, thin cat inside all that fur! - not scary thin, just slender and she weighed about as much as a dust ball, maybe 5 lbs but looked an easy 15. Boo is like about 15-17 and he's a big boy, but not at all fat, just built like a brick!

That is odd perhaps he is doing that insanity work out and building muscle. On a serious note however if he is happy and does not seem sick then I would not worry about it to much. Cats are animals and they have way of knowing when to pack on the fat for the long winter. I have a cat that usually starts to gain weight about a month before the snow flys. This year he is getting heavier than normal makes me think we are going to have a hard winter. Maybe your grandmas cat is the same way. He may just be getting ready for those cold nights ahead.

i think he has had so much than his desired limit which made him to strut so much and lose much of a diet

One of the things that you have to remember is that cats are the same as humans, and if they eat too much food then they're going to get fat if they don't do enough exercise to burn it off again. One of the things that you could do would be to try and play with your cat more so that they could get a little more exercise. Or you could try to reduce their portions a little bit so that they don't see that you're giving them less food, but you know that they're going to be burning a little bit of fat instead of gaining weight.
