Well, I knew China is the bigest country in the world. China had more than one billions population and it's put them into the top rank countries with the largest population in the world beside India, U.S and My country Indonesia. I knew your first leader was Mao Tse-tung or who is known as Chairman Mao and i like his style when he led China and mightbe you know if chairman Mao had a good relationship with my first President Soekarno. I knew about China histories since the first empire, Shang Dinasty until Chairman Mao became the leader. I know my country have good relationship with your country and i hope this relationship still good. About problem between your country and Japan, i don't knew it too much. But i can say your country should can finnish this problem with dialogue and don't use the power like boycott or even with war

Hi Wendi81, that is a good information about China. I learned about it too when I was at school, and I also like watching Chinese movies they do have great actor like Jackie Chan, etc. I lived near Chinese community in Jakarta few years ago, I admired their hard working and their culture I can learn a lot from them. But if it is about politic, I have no comment for that. I think every country has internal problem and as an outsider we don't like to interfere their internal problem. All I can say is that hopefully this problem will find solution soon.

Hello Carter
We have a lot of Chinese people living here in Philippines. All I know is that they are good businessman..:) They run their own business here in my country and some of them settle and stay for good. Your country is the most populous country and the largest country in East Asia. Am I right? I'm not quite familiar with your country's food but they taste so good. China has strong political, economic links, rich in culture and heritage. A nice place to visit!...:)
Have a great day..

Wow! Thank you so much Carter. That's wonderful. I'm planning to travel maybe next year but not sure about it. China is a good place to relax, because of hospitable people and wonderful scenery. What place in China could you recommend?
It's good to hear that at your young age you started to plan for your future. Keep it up. Work for your dreams and I'm sure you will achieve that.

I have to admit that I don’t know much about China at all. All I know is that most of our textiles, children’s toys and everything else is manufactured in China. I don’t know if that is bad or good for our own economy.. good in one way that we don’t have to pay a lot for the goods because the US pays so little to outsource manufacturing to China… and also bad for us because there are so few jobs here in the US in manufacturing. We have so many people out of work.

Well,To tell you a true,I am now working on export textile to your country and Vietnam.I think this is good for your own economy, because you only need pay little to us but you earn a lot from your consumer. And this will have a positive effect to your ecnonomy..
China is a large manufacture country, yes you can see all kind of product sign with "Made in China".Because China had the most people,we have to support all of us,so maybe you can say so many people out of work in your country, but you are more lucky than us.Means most of us have the work, but we get very low income .Maybe we pay out more than we get,but you can get more than you pay out.I don't know if Am I right, all this is my personal idea.

I learned about Chinese culture a bit at my university. It's a beautiful country for tourists but on the other hand there are some things that really scare me. To say nothing about the government, "rat race", working in unhealthy conditions (don't you have law to defend the workers rights?), low quality products like cars - how can anybody allow to produce such cars which get smashed into a small bob? propaganada; I remember that several years ago when there was a flood in my country your media showed some wooden sheds and said it was Poland, well actually they called it the name it used to have during socialist regime as if nothing has changed 20 years ago :D
But you have beautiful places - a natural reserve which was inspiratrion for the setting of Avatar, gorgeous monuments and big dragonflies ^^ instead of flies, as claims my friend who has been to China.

Most of the Chinese people are boycotting Japanese car like Toyota, because of the dispute over Diaoyu Island, don't you think it is very stupid to do that?? Toyota is not the one insisting all the island belong to its corporation, it is the Japanese government that is involve in the quarrel. It is barbaric for the people to go on a burning rampage over japanese owned businesses in major cities like Shanghai and Peking. I don't know much about China, foreigners are not allowed to know too much without explicit permission from your commmunist regime, we only allow limited exposure inside China and only can visit assigned tourist resorts, not every part of China. It is impossible to know more about China with so many restriction impose on foreigners by your regime.

No,we don't think we are stupid to do that, you can't understand us why we do that matters.I know that there are some reasonless people who burning and smashed the car,but most of us are rational behavior during parade. To tell you a true, you know China is a very big country ,and this time, most of the city in China have parade before China National day. From this we can see that all of us are patriot .We love our country,we want let Japanese know that they can not despoil any more territory from us now.It seems that your country is support Japan, does you?

I know very little about China. What I do know about it is that they have zero time zones like in the US and they all in every city go by the same time. I also know about the cars and a little history but that is all. I'm wanting to learn more about China because i am very interested and if i'm going to talk about the country i should know about it. I think when people talk about something they should know the facts abut it. China is not a bad country just bad things are happening in China right now with Japan. I am glad to finally see someone on mylot from China has i have not before. Your discussion has made me want to look up things about China now. Thank you for starting this discussion.

I know that China has a very rich history and culture, much older than many European countries, and the Chinese invented a lot of things, such as the compass.I also know that there are many products made in China which can be found anywhere, some of them are quality products, while others aren't,and China's economy is growing fast.I think China will become an economic superpower, while USA and Western Europe will be in a continuous decline. There are other things I know, such as the Great Chinese Wall or the fact that the Chinese enjoy food that most Europeans find weird, like dogs or snakes, but this huge country still has a lot of interesting discover.I hope that one day I will be able to see it and discover more of its exciting aspects.

Ni hao! (did I write that properly?) I am from Argentina and I don't watch the news so I'm not really aware of the situation on the other side of the globe.
What I know about China (or what I think I know. Correct me if i'm wrong) is they have delicious food, ancient history, and an amazing culture.
Regarding chinese people I just met one chinese man who worked at a supermarket; he helped me practice chinese greetings! He was very nice :)

Hi. I'm from the Philippines and they've been teaching about China in our history and social science lessons. Of course, they taught that China is one of the biggest countries in the world and Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world. Just like what the comment above says, the Chinese are considered very good businessmen. I've seen children helping out with their family business and the richest Filipinos are of Chinese descent. In high school, they taught us about your history... your dynasties until the Qing Dynasty, then until you became the Republic of China. Of course, I've enjoyed Chinese cuisines especially the dumplings and noodles. A lot of dishes I like have origins from China like spring rolls and meat-filled buns. I'd rather not dwell on the current issues involving territorial disputes involving our countries. Instead, I'd like to say that your country is rich with culture and tradition.

I can honestly say I do not know very much about China however I do find the country very interesting and beautiful. They don't teach much in our schools in terms of history unless it relates to The United States. What little about China I know is information I've took upon myself to read or art I've studied. I'm very much into art and I especially enjoy stylized Chinese artwork and the old folklore stories. I also think its neat that the countries history goes back so long. I love studying ancient people and in the states we only have Indians which never really interested me for whatever reason.
