The last few days Patches has been coughing like having a hairball, then after it's like she has trouble breathing. You can see she is breathing fast, and been really grumpy. Last night, she would breathe then make like grunting noises. I put my head up to her, and her breathing sounded funny. She is eating, and drinking, but sleeping a little and grumpy. She was playing today thought which is good. But I got my stethoscope out, and her right lung sounds different and odd. I'm no professional, but with everything else I think I'll be bringing her to the doctors.

I think that when it comes to our pets it is definitely best for us to be proactive. The reason that I feel this way is because of the fact that our animals are really not able to tell us when they are not feeling well, so they could have been feeling bad for a while before we are able to see that their levels of activity are down and their physical symptoms start to show. I know with one of my cats we took her to the vet the day that she started to seem out of the ordinary and it was actually already too late for her.

I agree completely with you they cant tell us what to do or how they feel. I know little symptoms that can be over looked. It's also sad to hear cases where a family cant afford the costss so tehy have to put the animal down.

She has a lung infection, and if left untreated would die. How is that fun?/.

Poor kitty. Hopefully, it isn't anything too serious. With your interest in animals, I'm sort of surprised that you have not pursued a career as a veterinary medical technician. It seems like a natural fit for you.

Well. You can wait sometime and see if she becomes is OK. If she doesn't get well in a day. Then you should take her to a doctor. Because sometimes my cat 'James' have the same problem and gets well in 2-3 days.
