Rap what happened to it?

I love rap music when its poetic, meaningful, demonstrates talent, and has a good sound. I guess that means I love old school rap because I don't think that exists anymore. I'm thinking about checking out some underground artists because the radio is mostly awful. What year do yo think hip hop went down hill? I miss the 90's those were the years hip hop was at its finest. Do you think it will ever go back to the way it was? I hate all of this computerized music. I love how I see younger people listening to artists like Tupac who was clearly before their time. His music is timeless.
