There will be another election next year and some people just registered a few days before the deadline. They wee given 3 years to do this, but people still like to do things in the last minute. And they are even complaining that there is no system and it is taking a lot of time to register. If they had done it earlier, there would be no problem. Even i registered last year and it only took a few minutes.. n line at all. There were 2-3 people also there..

This is always the case with some people. When the deadline isn't near yet, they wouldn't move an inch. But when it's near, they are frantic of registering. Do you know that up to now, our voter's ID which we applied for since last election isn't at the COMELEC yet. But at least we were already listed.

Yeah, it's like a habit already, a bad one. Like there is an alarm in their body that will tell them to move when it is just or 10 minutes before the deadline. it is very stressful to always be like that.

Correct! So, with the new registrants this year, when will they ever issue our voters' IDs?

Some people are really like this. They love doing thing the very last minute. That's why as you can observe long lines during deadline of bills payment, registrations, enrollment, etc. I always do everything a week before the due or I will just pay it online. I hate falling in long lines.

Yeah, i hate long lines too. Just a few days ago, we were supposed to pay for our electric bill, but we arrived almost at noon time, and the service was super slow. We were waiting there for 30 minutes already and the number never changed.

My classmate in college and my boyfriend also registered as a voter for the coming election next year. They also complained about the slow process of registration. However they need to endure it. I am already a registered voter and also was able to vote in the last election. You are right with regards to your discussion about last minute. We do it all the time. Last minute shopping. Last minute making of assignments and so many other things. We can't avoid it because it has been part and we let it rule in our life. Something must be changed. This is one. Keep smiling!

yeah, i also do it when it comes to assignments since i am quite lazy.. But as much as possible, i am trying to change this habit, so i will not very, very stressed. There are lots of bad habits that we need to change, we should start with this one .

For us Filipinos, there's nothing new about that. Since we are born that way, people who are in charge for the registration must do something to accommodate everybody on the last minute. We can't blame them. Why? Sad to say, politicians nowadays are rubbish. They are helping anyone who wants to register for the last minute. They are giving them food and allowances. Therefore, election is useless. Here in my place if the zone leader wants her member on her zone to vote same as hers if you don't she will do bad things about you. Too bad.

That is quite scary.. threatening those who will not follow what you say.. it is definitely a habit that is hard to break, but people should know better, and try and change this habit. Even i did not want to register that early, good thing my mom forced me to.

I find it amusing looking at all those people falling in line in Comelec just to register. I remember my self a few years ago when I was also one of those who beat the deadline of registration on the last day in the last hour. I wanted then to register but I had to be absent from work and I simply kept on postponing my registration until the last day. It was exciting not knowing if I will be able to register but fortunately, they decided to work overtime to accommodate people like me. Now I look back at the experience and find it funny and totally irresponsible.

Yeah, the maƱana habit... Fortunately we only need to register once.. I am a bit worried though, since i didn't get my voter's id yet.. they didn't even say anything about when i can get it. And the ids they have arr still from 2006.

It's a given that people like beating the deadlines. I myself was once like that. But when registering/renewing in government offices, I never go a few days before the deadline because I know there will be a lot of people.

yeah, i am like that when what i need to do is not very serious too. But when it comes to government stuff and bills i need to pay, i would do it as soon as possible, since it is very important.
