Retired expat looking for a new hobby here in the Philippines

Im a retired expat here in the Philippines and I stumbled upon this video about Arduino. I like computer stuff like these so it got me interested. But im not really good at engineering and fixing stuff. Can anyone help me how to start with the Arduino? Is there a store or company where i can get Arduino stuff. I'm really excited about this. :) Thanks!

Mylot is looking better than yahoo answers. Great community here. I got mine from a new company called Dynamodo in the Philippines. Ive only recently started with arduino too. I look forward to growing with the community and being part of this in the future. On a side note, the support team is pretty easy to talk to as well and they shipped it out pretty quickly. Kudos to them. Anyway, i think this is the url, they carry most of the things you need for arduino, love the kits! http://www.dynamodo.com/ The facebook page is here http://www.facebook.com/dynamodo Good luck! contact me if you need anything.

Hi there and welcome to Mylot. I'm glad you're interested in the Arduino. I'd like to work with electronic stuff but I lack the knowledge, patience and resources to program these microcontrollers by myself. However, I do know a couple of stores you can go to buy Arduino kits and books. Check these sites. http://www.alexan.com.ph/ and http://www.e-gizmo.com/ They have several stores in Metro Manila and they also offer Arduino classes to beginners. Good luck with your new hobby :)
