hi ravisivan you have English as one of your courses in grade school? the reason i ask is in my diabetes seminar I became close friends with an Indian couple who really spoke better English than I do. His name was shiv and he was the one with diabetes and his wife came for a support group. He and his wife and I and my friend Nelda and Alice and her daughter broke off from he main support group to be our own support group and Shiv taught us so many things from his country and culture. they laughed as they told us about having an arranged marriage as they were classmates from grade school on and they were already in love when their
parents picked her to be his wife lol. He was a top mechanic for large trucks and made excellent money. their adult children were living with them too I miss him and his wife now I am not in Tustin anymore.

My mother tongue is Tamil. Tamil is the official language of Tamil Nadu one of the 28 states in India. I know another language to read -- English.
I can speak in Bengali, Hindi and Telugu. i can understand these languages and also Malayalam.

myLot is in English so everyone here sees the same thing. Even encourages people to learn the language more so you can respond. It even removes discussions that were started in other languages as well. So in reality people come here being able to brush up on their English speaking as well.

Mylot restricts posting to English only. This may make life a little difficult for non English speaking members who have to post in English, but it is a necessary measure.
In order to maintain a certain level of standards at Mylot, such as eliminating illegal, indecent or inflammatory material, admin have to police the site and remove anything which violates the rules. This is a formidable task on a site of this size, but if posts were made in a variety of languages then it would be impossible.

English is the official language of Mylot. Anything that isn't in English will be removed because the staff aren't bilingual.

myLot is in English and is english language only for all of us. One interesting aspect about english language is that it accepts new words from other languages.
for example catamaran is derived from "kattumaram" in tamil language. "khichidi" is derived from Hindi term meaning breakfast food made of sooji. that is why english is growing and growing and in the next few decades many other languages may not be existing.

I am from Southeast Asia and Mylot appears in our place in English. There are no language options so I believe it is English for all of us. There isn't a translation either, so all of us members who participate in the site must be able to understand and read English. On the other hand, this seems favorable to those who are not well adept in the English language. It provides them with an opportunity for improvement with their English writing skills.

My parents speak English to us (children) since young, so we grew up speaking English. So, basically in my routine, i speak English, i read English, i write English, and even i came to know about myLot to be in English. However, i do know other main languages in my country like Malay and Mandarin, and some other Chinese dialects. As for myLot, surely it shows up in English to me. Besides, I understand that myLot only accepts English language. Regardless we are good or being average in English, this place is a good environment to learn English and improve our English. Thanks to myLot! Have a good day. =)
