Yeh, that rotten storm cancelled our Halloween for the kiddies on its original date of October 31st, but now we're having it on Sunday, the 4th of November. I'm glad the cities decided to do this for the kids. Some cities are having it on Saturday instead, but that's ok too. At least the kids will get a chance to go out trick or treating, and I'm sure I'll be walking along my with my little 5 year old granddaughter who decided to be a Werewolf for Halloween... She's soooo funny...one day she is little miss ballerina, and the next she's a werewolf! I'm going to try to upload a picture of her which is not recent, but you can see how pretty she is and how she changes from a little Miss to Miss Piggy, haha!

From little Miss to Miss Piggy to werewolf! She's very talented! I bet the werewolf is going to be really funny. Can you post a pic of her as the werewolf? I would love to see that. She has very beautiful eyes. And she's a real little cutie. Well, as long as they have a party, that's the main point. Gotta keep those kids happy. I remember two Halloweens when my son was young and and I made his costumes. The first was a pirate and the second was a vampire. Both costumes came out great and I didn't even have to sew anything! Oh, yes I did. I forgot, I made the vampire cape. I had to buy a pattern for it. I wish I had pics of it. Are you going to the Halloween party? If you do are you wearing a costume, too?

Hi deaz! She's a little handful, that's for sure! I will take pictures on Sunday and try to post one on myLot. I saw the costume but haven't actually seen her in it yet but I bet its going to look hysterical. Especially because I know who is inside it, haha. She has my daughters yes, and thank you for the compliment. Yes, I'm going to my daughters on Sunday...we always make a big deal out of Halloween and go trick or treating with Lucy. This year there will be a whole bunch of people including friends and of course family. It will be all kinds of fun. I wear a witch costume with a black dress, black cape, and black and orange striped tights, haha!

That's okay my friend, the storm is more frightening than the Halloween. Safety is more important, especially for the children. You can still have many Halloween events in the coming year.

Of course safety is more important for the children, and if you would have read the entire discussion, I mentioned my city re-scheduled it for another day. No one in their right mind would take children out in that storm.

Any update about the re-scheduled Halloween party?? How was it? Then the children have a great time? :)

That is awesome that they re-scheduled Halloween for your city. I wish they would have done something like that here for us. My boyfriend and I froze our butts off when we took my 3 and 6 year old trick or treating. The girls had winter clothing under their costumes so they didn't get too cold, but the wind was bad and cold! Brrrrr, I shiver just thinking about it.

That is awesome that you had such a great time hun, and way to leave everyone else in the dust! My daughters (3 and 6) still had a blast even though it was really cold! It is amazing what kids will do for candy isn't it?

Our Halloween night was actually beautiful, surprisingly. It's usually pretty chilly like you had it, but this time it was great. My oldest daughter has a Halloween party every year for my granddaughter who is 6, and the whole family and friends come over to go trick or treating, or hand out the candy. It's a lot of fun and I had a ball this year. I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off keeping up with the 2 little girls running around, lol! My daughter and her friends were way behind....we left them in the dust. I had to take my granddaughters candy and put it all in the hood of my witches costume because it was so heavy and it filled up the entire hood, lol! So much fun!!

Well it was cancelled but like I mentioned, the city re-scheduled it for Sunday. And it's suppose to be sunny out so that will be great! Ahhh, the famous witch, haha, and that is what I'm going to be. Lucy was a green dragon last year in this fuzzy one piece outfit with little humps down her back and a long tail, hahaha! Loved it!

I'm soooo sorry about the storm. Glad u are safe & sound. Hope u didn't have any damage from it. I'm so glad they are going to give the kids another chance to trick or treat. That is really a 'biggie' w/my grandkids. They were all here here last night 'wilder than bucks', lol.

No, no damage here. I'm in an apartment on the second floor so I was in pretty good shape actually. I feel so bad for all those other people though, it's just plain horrible what they're going through right now. Yes, Lucy is all anxious about going trick or treating. She's just soo funny in the picture of changing from a little Miss to a Little Miss Piggy in the mud. Glad your grandkids had fun with you!

From what I'm hearing there is around upwards of 50 billion in damages from the storm that they're estimating. I keep seeing more and more pic's and it's devastating for everyone involved. Thank you, she is a very beautiful little girl...she actually looks exactly like my daughter but with her father's darker hair...my daughter is blonde but those are her eyes.

That is really nice that the cities rescheduled for the kids who were affected by the storm. I was really feeling bad for the kids, because we over here in Texas was like aw no, the kids what about their Halloween. I hope your granddaughter gets lots of candy and has fun.

That's 1 thing that isn't so great about living in Canada ... around Halloween their is either snow already on the ground, it's snowing, or cold and windy and ready to snow. I really wish Halloween was in the summer when it's nice out!

Yes, I was happy they re-scheduled it because there was no going out the night of Halloween. We had very high winds and tons of rain. We'll have all kinds of fun this Sunday and I'm looking forward to it. It's suppose to be sunny too!

I am glad that they are re-scheduling it for your city. I was wondering about this earlier, whether those affected the most would reschedule so the kids can enjoy it. Saturday our area had Trunk or Treat's, but that's not out of the ordinary for them to have it early. My niece and nephew both are going to be zombies!

Thats great that your city decided to have the halloween night on sunday instead of on the day of halloween it at least gives the kids and the neighborhoods to enjoy seeing the kids too. I do hope your city is up and running by sunday i know after a hurricane in florida i was out of power for two weeks so i hope the power is up for kids are safe sunday night too. I also hope that everything is out of the streets and they are capable of handling kids on the road too. Hopefully also no flooding is going on and if so ihope its down and you dont have to worry about it.

They re-scheduled it for a later date so the kids can run around and still get their candy. I'm sure in the more flooded areas of course, they won't let the children out.
