Have anyone of you ever been in a situation that you just wanted to get in the car a go, no matter how long it took, it is almost like you just wanted to put gas in the car get on the interstate and just ride until the gas ran out, then you fill it up again, there is so much that goes on in our minds that we have to learn to listen to our thoughts sometime. One day I am going to gas up the car, have enough money on me tell me and my husband and the kids to let's go get on the road, we are going for a long drive. Sometime in life you have to grab it by it's own butt and let it know how you feel and what's going on with you. Life don't hesitate with you do why should you hesitate with it. One day take it upon yourself to just go.

I've felt like this twice in my life. The first time was when I got my license and car for the first time. It was a wonderful feeling of freedom and I gained several cool points with my peirs lol. The second time was I moved to the other side of the country. I did not bring my car because it was old and I didn't think it would safely make it. I went about three months without a car. Once I finally got another car very often I just drove around even just to relax. If felt great and sometimes even calmed me down when I was upset or stressed.
My parents used to do this too when I was a kid however they'd drive forever and drag us along. My father seemed to really enjoy myself meanwhile I felt like it was my seventh circle of hell. Lol

LOL, I think it was funny how you said your parents use to take you on thee long trips, but guess what? You still remember that until this day, one good thing about sharing things like this with you knids is the fact that they will have memories about everything that they did when they where little. Thanks for respodning.

driving is a skill i will never be able to learn. I admire lady drivers for they look so assured and confident behind the steering wheel and dreamed of learning it too. But a vehicular accident that almost claimed my life had created a phobia that i could not shake off until now. Hence, I'll just be contented being a rider for life.

Wow! I am sorry to hear that, but I thank God that you are here now, and it do take time to get over something like that, and true some people never get over it. Have you considered just riding a bike? I mean there are a lot of ways to get around these days. I hope that you are able to drive again one day though. Thank you for responding.

At one time learning to drive I booked an intensive course of 4 hours a weekday in the Easter holidays. I got to drive around all over the place in my local area and slightly further away.
I passed my practical driving test in 2010. Since then I have been able to drive my car. I was happy to get it on the road on my own without needing my driving instructor present. Now it is 2012 I am a lots more experienced and confident driver. This summer I very much enjoyed driving all the way to Cornwall.
Petrol costs lots of money these days. I limit the amount of petrol I put into my car. There is a recession on in my home country so I have to spend a limited amount of money.

I do agree, the gas has went up than I tell you what! Go to a local hotel and eat up all their food that they cook, and go to their swimming pool and then that is your vacation all in one LOL, so not only did you save on gas but you saved yoursef some energy, it feels good to eat food that is prepared by some one else and you can just be lazy all day!! LOL.

I have friends who also like living spontaneously. When a thought pops into their head, they just go for it. They say that the fun is not knowing what happens next, and they just tackle whatever obstacle when they run into it. I actually sort of envy them. I don't think I'm courageous enough to be live like that. But I think most successful people were like this. They listen to their thoughts and act on them immediately.

Hi,
Nice thoughts there. There are times I just want to go out and go anywhere without a care in the world. Drop by the wayside when darkness fall and continue when light enough. I wonder where will I end up, maybe at the edge of the world or broke. The possibility is endless.
Sometimes, I need to do that in my life, maybe I shall find something worthwhile.

You know one thing about it? is the fact you never know until you try it. There is a big world out here i would like to explore some of it but not all of it, LOL. because somethings you don't know what you are getting into. Like going hiking by myself.. No I don't think so. I will be with about 10 people, in case of an emergency, I would need strong people no one weak. LOL. Thanks again for responding.

Even I want to do that, it always hinders me to do so. It is because the price of gasoline is now very high in our place. But if ever I will be in a place where gasoline is cheap, then yes I also want to keep on driving and go to different places. More fun if I will be accompanied by the girl of my heart. Good day and take care!
