How to get notification of myLot?

When I start a discussion on myLot and another friend or any other mylotter responds to my discussion....I do not get any notification within the myLot page! But I get e-mail at my e-mail address. This happens also when I comment on others discussion and other friend also comments on it. How can I get notification of those event and activity without opening my e-mail...so that I can get everything from myLot. Just like in facebook...I get notification of everything related to me. I also get notification of messages I have recieved. Can't it be done in same manner in myLot because I think it will be more convenient.

Above in the tabs you will see =discussions". There you can see everything related to the discussions that you or your friends started and those where you participated. You can also see them on your home page here. The only other notifiers are those that go to your email and, as mylot is myLot and not Facebook, you will not see the same set-up because the two sites are completely different.

Oh yes...I tried it also...but what i seek it purely notification. It will be more convenient and encouraging interest in discussion. I think... We should learn good things from facebook and other networking sites also and apply it to myLot...then one day myLot can be facebook dominator....... what do you think...

the facebook model is status based. the mylot model is forum based; you'd call that groups in facebook. i think the way mylot is organized, as per your concern, is quite beautiful.

If I want Facebook, I go to Facebook I do NOT want myLot to become like Facebook now or EVER! The two sites are completely different and, I hope, always will be.

Hi there. I think the only way to check on your notifications is through email. :) Without it, it will be hard for you to follow your discussions and posts. :) If there is another way on checking on notifications, I bet I haven't discovered it yet, So I always open my mail to check on my notifications.
