I know girls like good looking and/or well-built guys. Here, I'm talking about guys who have average or okay looks, average body (not toned) but has the brains. For instance, he speaks eloquently, performs well in school, and cracks witty jokes. Would a beautiful mind be a turn on for the girls?

Most girls go for smart guys. I, for one, would prefer an intelligent one even when he's not that good looking than get myself a partner that is just good looking but knows nothing.

I don't know. I've always dated more stupid men than me.But this is not a hindrance to our relationships because I am as smart as two people altogether. I mean the men does not necessarily have to be smart. He's got other dignities not to be ignored: first of all his social status, secondly his property and his willingness to share it with me, and thirdly, his impeccable presentation in bed!

Oh, yes, definitely! Or at least me :). I wouldn't really be attracted to a guy who's dumb, uneducated, and worst of the worst, proud of that (like I know guys who are proud of that they are so cool that they party all the time and don't read o_O). I actually tend to go for more conservative, good guy-looking guys, sometimes even "nerds"... I was in love with my boyfriend when he showed me his room, but that collection of books... beautiful old books, classics in original languages... smart guys are definitely a turn-on for me :).

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well to be very honest, it depends entirely on girls on how they get intimidated whether on the basis of the looks or on the basis of the talent. i feel that girls view talented guys as a threat to them who could overpower them at any time. They feel that in the company of good looking guys they will garner lot of appraisals from their friends for having a good looking guy with her.
What say?

hehe, that depends. I don't like when a boyfriend is too much smarter than me. However, it's better to have a smart boy than to hang out with a dumba*s and be embarassed of him in public. Gee, when I look at majority of men they are soooo silly. Therefore I don't imagine to have a boyfriend at my age. It's much better to have a several-year-older one.
