in the philippines, filipinos have two days to spend halloween. and these are the days: November 1 and November 2 where each of that day celebrated our own version of celebrating this holiday through the All Saints’ and All Souls’ days. i do not know if there is trick or treat in the philippines like what i saw on tv but maybe some of the parts in the archipelago used to have that kind of activity during this holiday. but what we usually do are go to the cemetery to offer some prayers, foods, and even clean the niches and etc. those houses that wanted prayers for the souls could invite one leader for prayer to do such task. that is for catholic beliefs and tradition so for further information about halloween, try to see this link: http://emievil.hubpages.com/hub/How-do-Filipinos-Celebrate-the-Halloween and so i wonder, is everyone all over the globe practices this kind of tradition and how they used to celebrate it. thanks :)

It's not really that big of a celebration here. Especially that it falls on a hump day this year and not on a weekend; last night felt just like any regular Wednesday night. I did not see any Trick or Treaters at all around my neighborhood...

The Halloween is not our official holiday and therefore we don't have a day off work or school. But in these few years the youngs start to celebrate this foreign festival because they find it fun. They like to dress like ghosts or something like that. And they will gather together to have a nice dinner to celebrate this festival. In fact here most people like to celebrate the festival by having a good meal in the festival. It just gives people a good reason to enjoy the meal outside

In Jamaica its not a official celebration , like going door to door for candies . The thing with Jamaican because we have so much different nation people with different culture they are getting more and more into it but like going to a custom party not really about children . So no we dont really celebrate Halloween but just some people do .

in the philippines, the government used to cancel all classes and office works to celebrate this occasion. the street would so become busy and so as the terminals of any transportations because those who live in a far away place for their works, transferred of residence and such thing that will keep them away from their original place will go home. but to those who cannot do it so, they can still commemorate the event by lighting the candle at the big cross in the cemetery ....

to be honest, I don't like Halloween because it's one of those ''events'' that slopped over from another country (in this case the US). It has only appeared a couple of years ago in Germany. The kids may like it but the sweets are bad for their teeth anyway I don't like costume parties at all. It's ridiculous! what I like about Halloween though is this particular scene from Married With Children (time inde 0:50): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPdcNbdc-tA

halloween is already a custom holiday for all of the places in our country aside from those who do not believe in it. well, i do not know why hated such thing like that but everyone is waiting for it as to commemorate their love ones who passed away in this world and to offer candles and prayers for them.
