the city streets are silent. it is only 4 pm but then it looks as if it is ten in the evening wherein no cars are in the street. i can almost count the people who are walking in the streets. most of the people are in the cemeteries right now, visiting the loved ones who have died. is it the same in your cities mylotters?

Hi here at my place is nothing like that and i see people around. I have not been to the cemetry but i think there might be people there. I am from Fiji and I have never seen anything like that back at home though. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

The scenario usually arises as a result of catholic Filipinos observing All Souls' (November 1) and All Saints' (November 2) Days. These days are observed by catholics in remembrance of their departed kins and loved ones by visiting their graves.
However, I must say that this observance is not Biblical though.

Not exactly. There are still people in the streets, because some have already gone to the cemetery earlier, to avoid the big influx of people.
Though, you can notice that the people on the streets have lessened, because most are in the cemetery.

Most are still in the cemeteries and others are still having a good time on the provinces, the rest are on the road, either in the South or the North Luzon expressways.

all souls day is over but notice how silent the new street where live, There s less crime rate and my new neighbors are nothing like my nuisance heck of neighbors I use to have. I feel much more secure to walk on the streets now with this new place where I live. I love the privacy and silence. I think I will see lots of people soon as Christmas is coming.

It is the same here in our area. I think most people or travelers are still in the cemeteries. I'm sure though that a bit later, they will be headed back home and traffic will resume like usual. But then since there's no work or school tomorrow, who knows, it might not be as terrible as I thought it will be.
