Did anyon take their children trick or treating?

Well I gave out candy my children are old enough to go on their own in the neighborhood. As I was sitting outside giving out candy I was upset to see people speeding down the street where families were crossing the street and some act like they didn't want to slow down. How and why would people not stop and think this is a time that children love so yes they are out and some children are not paying attention and running across the street without looking I am glad no children got hit by my house.
