We are in the Autumn and the trees are turning. Yesterday we had rain most of the day but it was clearing before sunset, so we spent time outside just looking at the changing colors from the trees to the clouds, its impossible to tell from one vista to the next just how beautiful it is here along the creek right after a rain shower. I may not get to live here much longer, the upkeep is too much for two old folks, but while I am here I enjoy the beauty all around me.

I need to reason to prefer the country having grown up in the woods, ran barefoot, built camps and slept out, cooked on wood-fires, built tree-houses, dug tunnels and caves, made a railway, rafts, etc.
People in cities are scared, unfriendly, alienated and isolated. The city is malevolent, brooding and oppressive.
The woods are beautiful, blissful and holy
all the best urban

I used to live in the countryside. I love the serenity of the place. The air is unpolluted. But since the children have left the nest, I see no reason to stay in such a big house with vast areas of land. I decided to move to my new town house with small land area that is just nice to keep me busy. It is a bit noisy though but I have no choice. I need to be nearer to good facilities like hospital and market place.

I always enjoyed living in the country, too. The natural sounds, and nothing is ever quite silent, the bird songs, all the lovely colors and contrasts unsullied by buildings and vehicles. It's peaceful. No crying and screaming, no people yelling at each other or slamming doors in anger or carelessness, just God's peace and harmony. I know it's not a perfect life and can be tough but it's a good place to live.
I hope you two get to enjoy it for a long time to come, somehow.

We are temporarily in town but are looking at to go back in the country, in town i can't rest my head, always cars going by, if you want to be alone when you are going for a walk, there is always somebody there even if you want to be alone to reflect.

Pat, I hope that when it is time for you to leave the ranch that you will be blessed to live somewhere that you can still see the beautiful views and the changing seasons. Life changes, but change is not always bad, it is just different.

I love living in the country or province as we call them here. Nature's beauty can never be matched by progress and technology. I love being surrounded by trees, hearing the birds tweeting during the day and the crickets chirping at night. I love breathing cool fresh air. Do stargazing at night. I love seeing the kids play outside with each other and not with their computers. I love bathing in the river, play with puddles, climb trees. Grow vegetables and eat them for lunch. This is the life I've always wanted. Funny why I just went to the flow, left for the city to study, work, get rich (or rather, get stuck trying to be) when all I've rely wanted was right here in this place. It took me 30 years to figure that out but it's not too late. I'm getting my dream lifestyle back.

Hi savypat, You clearly enjoy living in the country and despite everything I hope you will be able to continue living there for a few more years at least. It is very beautiful especially at this time of year. I live in a small town with walking trails that are beautiful and I hope to be able to remain here in my home and be able to enjoy those walks for a few more years, but of course, we never know and can only take one day at a time. Blessings.

I love nature as well and the changing color of the trees. I was in the country a few weeks ago and my hubby and i saw some colored leaves falling like rain from the tree when the wind blew. It was so beautiful and made me and hubby smile. i posted a status about it on Facebook. I am so happy to see things in life like that and they make me happy. I don't live in the country nor do i ever wish to, but i like to visit a lot. I'm sorry you might not be able to live where you do much longer but i'm glad you like it there as much as you do. Have a great day.

Yes I love watching the change of the trees.. I smoke outside because of my boys.. I do not want them to be subjected to my bad habit.. Any how there are a bunch of trees around.. Its cool to see how they indivdually change. They all have the same amount of light, etc.. But they do not change at the same time or at the same rate.. Natural beauty is always the best.. Yes I can understand that the upkeep is a lot of hard work.. Hopefully you are able to get some help.. Have a wonderful day

Am from Srilanka, Normally all the days of the year, we feel, see summer actually. But other than cities, country make me feel better, peaceful, pure, i feel always am in a heaven when am in my home, when i come to city, i feel the difference between them.
Like as other country sides of any country, in our country also you can see, so many country animals continue their lives very peacefully, no one there for harm anyone, that is the benefit of living in country side
