Which manager will be the next to be sacked in the English premier League? Will it be Mark Hughes at QPR, Nigel Adkins at Southampton, Sunderland's Martin O'Neill, or even....dare we say...Roberto Mancini at the reigning champs? Brendan Rodgers was brought to Liverpool for the long haul, but could their poor start precipitate an earlier than expected departure? Could it possibly be someone else? Who do you think will be next for the high jump?

I think it will be Mark Hughes will be sack first. The reason is QPR have spent a lot of their money to bringing big names such as Park, Cesar, Hoilett, Granero, Bosingwa, and other big names, yet, they failed to archive anything. Boards are expecting wins if their club spent the most in the transfer market, but if Mark continue to losing points, they have no other choice to sack him.

That's a good point. Their big money signings have not gelled and produced results and patience with boards can soon run thin. I would have expected QPR to strengthen and kick on - their final game of last season against Man City proves that they were capable of scaring the most formidable opposition!

I agree. QPR had spend so much money. If they could not begin to win points now, Mark Hughes might be sacked. QPR is kind of similar with the Sunderland in the last season. Sunderland bought a lot of players but was always near to the relegation area until Martin O'Neil was hired as the coach. I think that Martin O'Neil will not be sacked as Sunderland is still OKay and he performed very well in the last season.

I think you may be right, although I would not like to put money on it as there seem to be several contenders at either end of the table!

I actually think Mark Hughes is right now on thin ice. If a couple more of the results do not go his way, he could be on the way out. The other manager who is also very close to the boot could be the Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert. Since his movement, Aston Villa has not really performed well just one place above the drop zone.
Cheers!

I would have expected more from Hughes and Lambert.Villa have been in freefall for some time. It's a shame because Lambert did a terrific job at Norwich.

I think Mark Hughes will be the front runner. But dont rule out Di Matteo as well given the unnecessary spotlight on the team now. Abramovic is a known ruthless employer and if the current racist charges surrounding the team continue to escalate, and / or their defeat at the hand of Man Utd marks the start of a poor run of form, rest assure the italian's head will be on the chopping board sooner.

An interesting point, although I feel sorry for Di Matteo as the Terry incident happened ages ago and he can't be responsible for a few idiots in the crowd. The Clattenberg saga is an unwelcome intrusion but,if Chelsea are correct in their accusations against him, then I think they are correct to be vocal about such repugnant racism. I think they would be foolish to release Di Matteo but it would not be a total surprise given,as you say, Abramovich's track record.
