the difference between Love and Like?

a great discussion started by you ,first of all huge difference is that you can like more and more person but you love only few person .just like your parents or your girlfriend also. but liking is different because you feel good when you like someone but if you love someone and he/she is near of that feeling is totally different . just try love once in life .have a nice day.

This is a common though interesting and hot topic of discussion among youngster specially. I believe that nowadays its is very much important to now the difference between these two in your life as this will make your life more easier and smoother and will help all your relations to sustain in your life. Love is a "BIG" word to describe and at the same time to understand.Love it self have so much meaning and feelings related and attached with it. But when it comes to " like", its a simple word with a simple meaning. Like describes the situation when a person feels an attachment and feels to enjoy one's company and you tend to like everyone or almost everyone whom you suppose keep a good rapport, even you have to like the person first to love somebody.Love is a complicated Word which means a lot and seems different from one person to another. Basically Love is something more deeper and serious compared to Like and this feelings of Love can have a lot of impact in your life.

You can differ loving a person from liking a person by the intensity of attraction you have towards a person. If you like a person, it is wanting to spend time with him/her. And as for love, you feel like needing that person in your life. Well, I maybe wrong....but that is how I differentiate the two.

Its still possible to like and love someone at the same time. I don't think you necessarily need to be shy or can't be yourself in front of the person you love if you also like them. A person you like is someone who you can be free around, someone you love is someone you feel very deeply for, love is a lot stronger than like, and a lot rarer than like. Not many people are lucky enough to find the people they can love and fall in love with. It is also important to surround yourself with both the people you like and the person/people you love.

I think the difference between love and like, is that "love" is something that you do for a person such as sacrificing and giving. On the otherhand, "like" is something that you do for yourself such as desiring and wanting for your own satisfaction. God Bless!

Yes, what you said is absolutely right. I am agreeing with you fully. Love and like are two different aspects in any way. But often most people will have a confusion among thmeselves whether it is a love or not. If we decide it wrongly, definitely it will ruin us and gradually theat beautiful relationship also. Therefore in my opinion we should be very careful in chosing them. My small advice is that marry a person whom you love but never marry a person whom you like.
