Hi,today, I learnt a phrase " reset generation". When I ask myself if I am one in reset generation. The answer is no. I am the person who would like to challenge when I find the thing is totally beyond my ability, especially in Technology. The phrase reset generation is from reset when you use a computer. When you find you are traped in trouble in some software or your computer get some trouble, you usually reset your computer. Hi ,mylotters are you a reset person.

In a way, maybe I am... When things do not quite turn out as I'd like them to be; sometimes I'd tell myself: "Ok, let's start all over again". I "reset" myself that from that point onward I will try to follow certain plans that I have for myself in order to achieve things as I'd like them to be. Am I making any sense?

I never heard of this expression. I think you mean if something goes wrong in your life you start all over again? If it comes to that it's impossible to each of us. You can not reset yourself since a human being is not able to forget everything that happened to his/her life. The memories are still there plus our life experiences changed us (if we like or believe it or not). If you mean you are a fighter, won't give up and don't care to start all over to give it an other try (like W.E. Coyote does in "Road Runner" (loony tunes) I agree. I am not the kind of person just sitting there, being passive or broke for long. Why not? Because I am the kind of person who want to have and keep hold on the situation I am in, this way the solution is in my hands as well.

Absolutely no, I believe young adults prefer to totally reset in certain point. For instance, in the event that he or she couldn't cope with the issues with this organization, he or she might want to alter an additional work instead of perform tackle the actual probles with this organization.

If things or events are that easy to reset, I wouldn't mind being considered a reset person. But life isn't a video game wherein you could reset and start again without any consequences. The challenges we face are what make us better persons. I guess that's one negative trait the reset generation has. They have the tendency to reset things instead of looking for a solution when they're faced with a problem. Like if they find that their job isn't what they expected it to be, they resign and look for another. Wisdom isn't gained by this type of attitude.

If you things are not so easy to reset is becuase you are a responsible people. You have things in your heart. But nowadays, some young people don't thing that too much. They don't care too much. You can try, if you don't think that too much, you can also reset something.

Hi HuaZhao,
I think your using of the analogy of reseting PC to reset generation is neither apt nor accurate. What has reseting of a PC got to do with young people who seem to be not so responsible and cannot take challenges? Maybe a beter word would be escapist or indifferent and not reset! Just my opinion.

Hi friend, i am interested in facing my challenges, i don't want to escape from my problems. So i am not a reset person and always face my issues with my confidence. Problems are quite common to every one and we must face it, escaping or resetting from the problem is not a solution for it

Yes, i am brave to face all my issues and have the ability to come out from them using my efforts and confidence. Coward persons only fear about their problems and try to escape from it. Thanks a lot for the BR and kind complement. Wish you to get the BR in the near soon

hi HuaZhao well if just resetting my computer to solve a problem makes me a reset person then s o be it.But I have a son who is a genius on computers so I get him to fix my problems not just reset the computer.I like challenges up to a point then I cry for help from someone who is much more knowledgeable than I am.Common sense overrules wading through a mess I cannot handle.so in a way I am not a reset person at all.

I can't distinguish if I am that reset person. But of course I want to face the challenge that I am confident enough that I can do it.

umm I am little confused here but i would like to try. I think i am a reset generation. I would like to think and try to stop and do things differently if things don't go right. I cannot reset when it comes to time because i cannot bring back the lost time. I do reset the tasks which i do. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Yeah, reset generation is very popular in China. For example,in our college, there are some students choose some assignment by themselves. Some of them try to do the assignment for one or two days, and then they find that is not a easy one. So, they drop this one and reset and then try to another one.
