Want to save electricity? Just look at the rating on the adapter/charger of the laptop or netbook. My adapter says: Input: 100-240V; 1.3A (stands for amperes). The lower the ampere rating, the lower is the electric consumption.

For a while, netbook is the best from the fewest electicity consumption. But, i've heard there're the smallest pc from Indonesia(will launch soon). They claimed that it's the smallest computer, logically, it's the best about low consumption electricity to be compared with others.

The Desktop computer would be the one that takes more power to run, since you also will need a monitor too. I have never used a netbook so that I do not know.
A laptop you not only can use it with power, you also can use the battery for working on short times that you are on the laptop.
My choice would be a laptop for the power and for use of internet and computer programs. Oh only thing is you have to choose which type of laptop you want. Business, Gaming, Schooling. So you get the right one for your use.

Netbook consume the least amount of electricity since it is the smallest and less powerful than laptop. It also has a smaller screen/monitor compared to laptop and desktop. Laptop and netbook are really designed to use less power than desktop. If you have to choose, just choose between laptop or netbook. Since it so portable and it can run using battery. If your purpose is just for internet surfing and office use, then netbook is your best option, but if you are planning to play latest 3d games and edit video and animations, then you have to choose laptop. For my personal choice, I would definitely use a laptop. Good day!

regarding electricity consumption, desktop turns out to be most high electricity consumption. Laptop and netbooks are low in consuming since it has a battery pack in it. the battery charges only for 3 hours more or less and the adapter output is just 18 volts.

Not a clue, but will be interesting to hear if others do! Amazing this hasn't been mentioned in this day of energy saving, as a reason to buy one style over the other. Convenience is always there, but energy...never hear of it. I'll take a gamble and say....netbook takes less...simply cause it is smaller and doesn't do as much as the other two can.....my luck I will win cause there is no prize!

Desktop consumes more energy than a laptop and netbook. Even when it's plugged in while it's turned off, it still consumes electricity. For less electricity consumption, I go with either a laptop or netbook.
Now to pick between laptop or netbook, it depends what you are going to on them. If you just want to browse on the internet and listen to music while not minding the processor loading a bit slower, then the netbook is the best since it's cheap, the battery lasts longer than a laptop, and doesn't consume electricity that much compare to the laptop and desktop. Bad thing about a netbook is if you watch movies, the sound aren't going to be good unless you use headphones. Also there is no CD/DVD drive, so you'll be using flash drives when it comes to downloading programs or downloading straight from the internet.
If you are going to play games, make animation, photo editing, need a faster speed, watch awesome movies with great sound, haves a CD/DVD drive, etc. The laptop is the best then. The battery won't last longer than the netbook, but it doesn't consume that much electricity just as long you don't keep it plugged in the whole time.

Budget saver in terms of electricity? I guess it is netbook. Small in size have small consumption? But I believe that desktop consumes more electricity. Besides, netbook is very convenient to bring around if you are going out the house. That is if you like bringing one.

Definitely netbooks consume the least power.I know because I had one.I now have a regular laptop and it consumes more power for sure.I have to watch more carefully in case I run out of juice before i get my work done.

i thing you'd need a netbook, when for saving electricity comsumption by fair use, such as checking emal, typing a poem or just browse the internet and do not need a cd/dvd ROM, netbook is the solution....
but it would be different if your activites such as plying high graphic games, wach movie
you need a desktop,, everything back to the user's behavior, which will be tailored to the needs
