i have some posts about asking for resolution to minute concerns and after few days, my queries were answered already. i just wish there's such a feature here that's closing the post when it was being resolved already. there was one time when that resolved issue of mine got so many responses about the latter and i kept on answering back that my problem was solved already. they just don't look at the previous comments of mine and my friends. i appreciate your comments guys but please do consider the situation on my part. i hope i don't offend anybody here. thanks, though.

I think there is nothing wrong if you stop responding to your posts. You had your answer to your question and most probably have chosen the best response for that. I am sure they will not take it against you.

flagella olnce you post a discussion it becomes more like public property and is free for us to respond or not,. if it bothers you so much to have extra responses do not comment but let me say I love to keep commenting on mine as this really pays well and I have fun with my friends here and get more pay for commenting which i really need.I am not offended but fail to see why you think you own that and can tell us what to do and not to do,. If I wanted to post to a discussion I would post to it.

I have seen many complaints about different things in here but I don't recall ever having found one where someone complains about people not reading the responses before putting in their own. The guidelines state under the Don't section "Respond to a discussion until you've read all of the responses." Members have made complaints (very valid) and quoted different parts of the guidelines to back up their complaint that people are/aren't doing such and such. When I first joined mylot I read the guidelines and I have, except twice, read all of the responses in a discussion before entering mine. I'm interested in what others have to say. I gain insight and understanding by doing this. I think a large percentage of people don't bother. If a discussion has more than 2 pages of responses and I don't have time to read them all I can most likely find another discussion to respond to. The times I didn't read them all I did skim over the last 1 or 2 pages. They were discussions I really wanted to respond to even though they had 3+ pages. If I come across a response that says what I was going to say I don't bother responding, unless I can think of a different approach. In reading through responses I come across many that are the same information. Like in discussions where the author is asking a specific question for information. Of course there are many discussions asking for people's views/experiences on something. These, of course, will have varying responses and even if 5 people have the same viewpoint/experience I think the nature of this is different. It's factual data versus personal opinions/feelings. And these are just my thoughts on the subject. I am in no way intending to offend anyone.
