There are really people who are STILL addicted to Facebook. Though I don't have that much number of friends, I can't help but laugh to some of my friends there who keeps on posting pictures and statuses of wherever they are and what they are doing. I mean they keep on updating every second. Sounds funny right? Also I find it irritating. Anyways, it is their Facebook account so I can't stop them from it. They can do whatever they want. I don't mind.
Do you have a friend like that in Facebook? Or you are one of those people? I hope to have a happy discussion on this mylotters! Good day!

You can hide or even ban their posts. FB has that provision. I have done it to a number of my 'friends'. In fact just now I have deactivated FB as I do not find the same fever of interaction that used to be when I just became a member there.

You need not ban them but you can stop their postings coming to your page. If you feel like looking at what they are up to you can always go to their page occasionally.

I have some friends and followers over facebook and twitter who does the same thing as you mentioned on your discussion. Yes it is quite annoying sometimes, and sometimes putting them in a picture that they are likely to become arrogant because they are posting almost everything they do in their life. Although this is nice but sometimes people are overly exaggerating their life's activity sometimes you think that they are bragging their life where in fact nobody cares at at all.

I second the motion heaytheblogger! They are already losing their privacy exposing everything in Facebook. They must be cautious at least to avoid any problems like being robbed or raped since they just allow it to happen by posting it publicly. We should think if it is right to do.
Thanks. I really admire youre response.

Couldn't agree more! sometimes they feel as if they are celebrities putting their lives an open book to everyone. although this is good because you are updated to your friends lives but on the long run, some go beyond the boarder. I think people should know responsible usage of social medias, this should be taught to everyone most especially to those who are new to the trend of social networking. Thanks for the reply.

Why is your wall flooding? Are your friends tagging you when they post all of those updates to their timelines? Unless someone post directly to your wall, you should only see their update in your news feed.

Your friends don't have to tell you first in order for tags to be controlled. Facebook sends you notification and you can also restrict who is able to tag. The same goes for posts to your wall.

What annoys me are the Games request.
I even posted on my wall like this "I don't play any Facebook games"
but still I am receiving tons of invites

I'm not into this Facebook craze. I thought that it's stupid to constantly be updating your status. I mean who cares what time you get up or what you had for breakfast. These people should get off Facebook and go and see their parents or sibling or relatives and talk, really talk.

You're right my friend. Things really have changed. Before we have to walk from a distance in order to see somebody. Now, in an instant, we can already talk to them. But still not like before. It is still different if we get to talk with them personally so we can feel their feelings while talking.

Honestly I am one of those people who are posting the funny images that sometimes it can be flooding to other's wall. But I don't really care it is my facebook account and given a privilege to do something. I am posting statuses too it can be rant or happiness but not to the extent of every seconds.

At least there is someone who responded here in my account that admittedly he is one of those. Thanks Metatronik. It is okay as long as you don't aggrieve anybody by your activity. I guess it is one way of expressing our thoughts. It really feels good to be able to let it out.
Have a good day!

Hey! I am not personally adddicted to facebook but as with tumblr.. yes. Haha.. There are times that people overdo posting on websites. As for me, I tend to make my facebook or twitter an outlet. And then just limit those people who can see my post. As you said, we are not celebreties... so better keep your life to those people who are close to you.

Well in my case,I have this one friend who is always updating status from time to time or should I say from minutes to minutes in a certain time of the day.Status that are so long and full of sadness and feelings about life wherein just copied in the net.Sometimes my walls where just occupied my copied status that are really flooding and nothing to read but his status. Some even like it which I don't understand.
Annoying and irritating which sometimes made me think to block lol.

Hello ardoy0731! Yeah right. Certainly, most of the statuses I read are quotes which are copied and pasted. I am also like that but not too much. I usually post sayings which are relevant to the emotion I feel at the moment I posted it. I just scroll down my news feed not minding or really reading what they are posting.

Hello riyauro! My Facebook account also is exclusive only for people whom I know like my family and friends in college. I find Facebook helpful when we say about connecting people. It had done a great job. I want to set my mind to just focus here on mylot rather than wasting my time in Facebook and doing nothing.

I rarely go online to check my Facebook nowadays (but I'm always online on my fb chat on my blackberry for messages) so I think I'm somehow sad for the constant floodings, lol! I also have friends who are fond of updating statuses even of their most mundane day to day stuff, like hello, is it fb worthy to post that you're having your period? And sometimes we can't help it if some friends are too excited to upload pictures of every single thing that they encounter. I always resort to unsubscribe or restrict mode whenever I feel like I will get overwhelmed or annoyed with such posts. I still wanna be friends with them and keep some means of communication open, but I don't need to know that they're on their way to the crapper.

Well, I'm not one of those people. But I'm always online there. Facebook is quite important for me since it is one of the easiest ways to contact my relatives and old family friends.
But I can definitely understand you with that. lol. Some people there are really annoying. Especially those who send gaming notifications. I mean I don't need that since playing is the least thing that I will do on Facebook. :)

Hello auwielady! I am also frequent in Facebook though there is nothing really important to do there. I just want to open my account and be updated. The problem is I am overly updated knowing that some of my friends keep on updating. It's okay. They are harmless. You're right when you said about gaming notifications. I made another discussion on that. You might want to check it. Thank you.

Almost everyone with a Facebook account has at least one friend like that. Some people just have a lot of down time and most of us can access it on our cell phones so its all too easy to over inform people. When I see people post silly things I either just ignore it or sometimes find it amusing. I have one friend who posts things like ....I love rain...and I'm like ok... -_-

Hi cearn25, my friends and I are very active in facebook but I don't really post every second. Sometimes, it helps to think "Would people be annoyed if I post a lot?" or "Will this be relevant to someone or just me?" before posting pictures or a status. If you find someone annoying in facebook, you can edit your news feed so you don't have to see their updates without ever unfriending them. That's what I do to some pesky relatives of mine who wouldn't stop taking pictures of their pets. So annoying!

I am also active in Facebook but don't have the habit of posting from time to time. I know for sure a lot of my friends would say I am flooding their wall. I have one classmate who is fond of doing it. She posts when she wakes up, goes to school, in the school and before going to sleep. It's true. Believe me. Another person I know, they want to keep their selves private by editing the settings. There are instructions to follow.

I really seldom post on my Facebook, not unless I need to promote something from my online shop or help a company that I may be working with their online visibility. I seldom post pictures as well. I just post pictures from important events that I have been. I have friends who could be Facebook addicts. It is irritating sometimes, but couldn't tell them to stop, right?

You're right. They might get angry at us if we will try to tell them to stop. Also I don't want to sound bad and get into trouble. Like you, I will just post something that I find informative, entertaining and also sharing my own thoughts.
So you have an online shop? It's great!

You can block users you find annoying. I personally don't have any problem with that. I mean, if I don't have the energy to bother with them, I set the friends I really want to see statuses from as favorites, so everytime they post something. I'm gonna have a notification.

Thanks for the tip my friend doroffee. I am also doing that. I set as closest friend the facebook of my boyfriend so that I will be notified and know what he is doing. And also by that, I can monitor all his actions. So he does to me. I am not really affected though. They can do what they want.

Hi cearn,
I'm not one of those people, but I do have a friend like that on facebook. At first it was fun but later it really is annoying to read every little thing that they do or what food they ate and all those stuffs.Yes, you are right it is their account and we can't do anything about it.

Hello jopipay! Thanks for commenting. Usually they share their whereabouts and of course the foods. I wouldn't like to stare on those pictures of foods because I don't want to be feel hungry. On the other side, I am happy for whatever they are doing because they are, as I think, living a good life nothing to worry about. Am I right?
