Some people dont think of animals as being family, or a living being. My 6 furbabies are the part of the family, and I would go hungry to feed them. I volunteer for a shelter and see this all the time its so sad. Some come in very sick, and people simple dont see it. I would report them if I saw animals being abused or neglected here after an investigation they can be fined and charged.

Animals / pets are just like children and young children as they cant talk and tell you what they are thinking, or want / need. They depend on you for everything, and many dont see it that way. Having a pet is a lot of work, to keep up maintence, even a routine. I know so many who get an animal then after a few months get rid of them because it's too much work.

Amen, I feed my dog before I eat. i look out for her first. She cant get into frig. for food. Some people never should have pets ( or kids)
take care there.

These people near you can't feed themselves but want to have four dogs, they probably don't feed the dogs well like you do. They may not care much about those dogs go hungry most of the time, so long as the dogs can continue to look after their house and do whatever they order, the well-being of the animals is no concerned to them, there are always people like this out there don't give a heck of taking care of 'pets' they owned, a dog may be a 'pet' to you, for them, it can be just about anything except a pet. You are assuming the dogs are 'pet' which may not be the case in the mind of these people.

True, pets in my home are like my kids. I take care of my little dog like a human. She cant take care of her self. Of course they dont take care of the kids, why would they care for the dogs.

You are so sweet. Your dog must be a really happy child!
I know how it can make you angry, me too! But I've seen cases of people wanting to have many dogs or cats and they care for them but that's the most they know how to take care, if they treat themselves like that it means they are not doing the same things for their animals to hurt them, it just mean they can't do any better. Unfortunately, that's even better than let them on the streets or to buy instead of rescuing and adopting an animal. But in any case of abuse, please call police.

Oh, I know what you mean! We have a neighbor next to us that always has a dog outside. We just thought they had just that dog. One day we saw them bring out 4-5 littler dogs out of the house. The littler ones apparently stay inside. Now recently they have another bigger dog. This dog isn't outside like the other dog is all of the time. They never pay any attention to the dogs outside. The dogs outside are always barking. Every now and then a neighbor will cut through their yard and pet the dogs outside. It doesn't seem fair to me that they have little dogs inside and the bigger dogs out side, because it seems to me that the dogs outside are being neglected.

This is a pet peeve of mine. People have pets and abuse them in one way or another. My cats are very spoiled and that's the way they should be. Animals can't tell us what they want or need. Sometimes people are ignorant and just want as many pets as they can even if they can't afford to take care of them and it's very sad.

Ahhh thats really sad, people shouldn't be allowed animals if they can not look after them! I have a dog and 2 cats, I am quite strict with the cats as they get fed twice a day and inbetween they can have dry food, there is always dry food down for the dog and he is walked st lesat twice a day, he is still very young so quite hard work and full of energy! Animals are very dependent on us like you say as they can not feed themselves, they can give so much love and companionship and deserve that back from their owners!

I throw all my table scraps to them. I also have a few customers who bring them bones and things as well.
