The benefit will be is making you backlink. That is a great idea if you want traffic to your blog. Ask that guest to link your blog also to his blog or website so that you can create a backlink.

Yup! You right, my friend. They can't mention about it but they already link it. Because they coming into your blog being guest and if they commented into your blog. Meaning they are connected to your blog as linking to their site...

Do you mean leave feedback, and post it on your blog? I'm not sure exactly what it is. I think it's good to drum up more business for you.

Comments (or feedback) and guest blogging are different. Although both can contain backlinks, the backlinks on a comment post is "no follow" by default, but the backlinks in the blog post are "do follow" by default. The backlinks from blog posts are valuable for SEO purposes.

I suppose that it would really depend on the person that is wanting to make a guest post on your blog and also the subject that they are wanting to write about on your blog. The main benefit that I can think of that you would get by allowing a person to guest post on your blog is that you will have at least increased traffic on your blog for a day or two because of the post. However, the greater benefit would be that you will probably end up with additional blog followers as well.

Guest blogging is usually a way for bloggers to post an article on somebody else's blog with backlinks to their own. Without the backlinks, there is no point in doing it. The backlinks, of course, are "do follow" links by default so they are valuable from the SEO point-of-view to the guest blogger. The only direct benefit I can think of for the blog publisher is having somebody write good articles (assuming they are indeed good and original) for your blog at zero cost. I suppose allowing the backlinks is a good trade-off.

I agree that will be my only benefit from what I see also , someone doing some article so I can skip that day . It would be more beneficial for the guest blogger since they will get backlink but at least I will have a new post .

if you want to write for an agency who requires backlinks and Page Rank (PR) and your blog has not PR but you can supply backlinks, then you need a blog with PR, which needs guest bloggers because they make money from you and you are able to satisfy your contract for backlinks and PR worthy blogs to your client. that's my 2 cents.

Hi silverfox For sure, this can be an advantage for your blog in case the person who contacted you writes differently than you. The first benefit that it will get is a little more visibility - some of the traffic may also come from (and also go to) this writers blog. The next benefit as a reader of your blog - the readers will get a differently written post to read - I can say this as I do believe that almost all of us have different writing styles and finding something different might be interesting for the readers - that is just one aspect. The better aspect is - based on the feedback on this post, you can even try to re-create your writing style. Then, sometimes, the "Guest Posts" are of a different niche altogether and that helps too - kind of related but something that you could never have thought of writing about on your blog. There might be other important ones too which I failed to see here. So I will keep myself returning on this discussion to know more.
