Usually a baby's name derived from the name of husband and wife, from grandpa and grandmas names,or either their favorite movie star, derived sometimes from the book and even bible etc etc.
The combination of husband and wife names gives us an idea where the name of the baby came from.Do you and your partner choose the name together? Or an idea from someone related to you.
Just want to know where do you usually take your baby's name? Where do you usually get an idea to create your baby's name?
Thanks in advance.

My husband and I looked through a book with a list of suitable names with very good meanings when we name our children. Unlike other parents who would combine their names to form their baby's name, we want our children to have good meaningful names.

My childrens names came from a form of my name because I wasn't being very creative. I now have a huge list of names that I want for my future children. Future! Because as luck would have it, I can't get pregnant anytime soon :( Happy myLotting!

Okay, my daughter is named Kathryn Teresa. Her name is derived from a favorite great-aunt of mine and also after Mother Theresa because she was one of the women that was the most inspiring to me. I knew that my first daughter would be named Kathryn Teresa from the time that I started thinking about being a mother myself.
Now with my son, his name is Paul Thomas. I knew from the time that I was eighteen years old that I would name my son Paul because I promised a friend of mine's parents that I would name my first-born son after their son after he passed away. The Thomas part of his name came from his father whose first name is Thomas.

My baby girls name is from the Bible, she's one of Job's daughter. It say's there that after Job's testing and God found him still faithful, God bless Job more or double that what's he lost. God bless him with three daughters and I named my daughter after his second daughter. I love her name very much! Thanks for sharing.

My boy was named after me, and from yhe word ynyr which means honest. Ynyr originated from Ireland, it was also a name from that country but not as popular as the name John. Right now, when people here my son's name, they keep on asking how to pronnounce it properly and how to spell it right. Hehe, at least now people can hear that name again.

My daughter's first name came from my mother's best friend and my exhusband's mother. Her middle name is my mother's and mine middle name. My son's first name came from my father's brother and my mother's brother's name. His middle name is a combo name. The first name came from his father's grandfather and brother. The second name came from his father's other brother. So, overall, all the names are in the family.
However, when I was still in high school, I had already picked out 6 names--3 boys, 3 girls. When I had my children, I only used 1 of those names. Just like I changed my mind about having 6 kids and only had 2.

Hi montevilla!
I was very young when I gave birth to my babies. So I would consult way back then my sister in laws about the names. They are religious so they suggested to tke the names of our babies from the Bible. My son being the eldest was named after a king and my daughter's name was taken from the twelve nation.
My daughter is always complaining about her name actually, because every time we go to the church, the priest would always call her name. Her name is always the content of the readings from the Old Testament.
Have a nice day!

I like the tradition of naming your child after the grandparents because you show your respect to both your husband and his family. My daughter got the name of her grandmother and I gave my son the name of his father. Names mean a lot to me because each name has a particular vibration and carries a special energy when pronouncing it.

Well, I'm not a father, so I do not have children and do not risk making the problem even have to give a name to my son.
I wanted to answer this question, as this case belongs to my personal name.
My name is Alessandro. do you know why?
Simple. When my mother was a child, he saw on television a movie of Alexander the Great and the Macedonian inside her said, "When I'll have a son, I'll call him Alessandro."
And now here I am!

Yes my baby's name was derived from my partner's name and my name. I also want to add other name but my partner didn't want he just wanted it to be 3 letters name so that our child will write his name faster. He said we did not yet know if the child is a fast writer or a lazy one. Because he is a boy. ^_^
