I never expected that I have to go back to high school in my life but it happened. I was graduated high school in the Philippines in the year 1993 and graduated in college in the year 1998. However, when I came to Canada and want to pursue my education, I need to go back to high school and some pre-requisites courses to get to the program I wanted to study. After two years of going to adult school finally, I was one of the graduates on June 14, 2012.

It is very true that there are different courses that are required at different schools in different countries and as you have discovered, there are times that you might have to take additional classes to be able to be considered a high school graduate in a different country. What I didn't know, however is that when you do have to take prerequisite classes that they would give you another high school diploma. That is really neat that you have two different diplomas.

Yes, and you know, I am very proud for this achievement. Even though, it was tough for my situation but I did it with my head up high. Some of my friends keep on asking how I did it because they know my situation and for them it is very impossible to do. I only smile at them and said, if you really want to achieve your goal and determination, you can do whatever you wanted to do. Perhaps, you face difficulty but that is part of it and makes it more interested.

Congratulations! Was it because of English language that required you to take a High School equivalent? Anyways, I admire your determination to pursue your studies.

No, it is my choice to take high school which is only 54 credits to graduate. What they told me I need to get my prerequisites for the program I want to register which are physical science, chemistry and Math 436. I am glad that I finished all of those and got accepted in the program.

Well, each country do have different curriculum in terms of education.Surprising that you still have to get back and take some prerequisites but at least you made it and graduated again. Education is a lifetime process and learning.

That could be your good experiences. I dont think that i would go to high school twice. It wastes my time and of course money. I am fresh graduated from a college majoring in engineering. I just want to go to get the good job to support my own life and family and people that i love.

Congratulations on your graduation. That speaks highly of your desire to learn and achieve because of the effort that you put into taking high school classes again in order to enroll in the studies that you wanted. I think that education is one of the most important things that one can spend time on. That is something you can always be proud of achieving and I think it's really neat that you have a diploma from two different countries.
