first glance on my Father's grave

It's been a long weekend. Last Thursday we went to the cemetery to light candles and remember our loved ones who have passed away. This day is different since it's our first time to take a glance on our father's grave. At first I was like staring on his name written on the marble stone. It's been 9 months since he left, but I still long for him. It hurts seeing his name written there. He laid next to granpa and granma, along with his other siblings. I noticed in their birth and death dates, my father had lived much longer than the rest of them. I can't do anything but thank the Lord for giving such a responsible and humble man to be our father. Even in his last breath, he didn't want us to worry, he just left without giving us burden. I am always proud of him.
I don't worry where he might be right now. For I'm sure he's in heaven. He deserves to be there. God had reserved the best place for him, that, I am sure.

My dad passed away a few years ago and all the years that he suffered with his health, knowing now that he is in no more pain in one blessing.I also miss my dad dearly and there is not a time that have not missed him.We scattered my dads ashes on his nans grave and that is where I try to go to put flowers once or maybe twice a year.I also know that my dad will be up there with all the other members of the family looking down at us thinking enjoy your life, as sooner or later we will meet yet again.

That is so true Jugs. Sooner or later we will meet them for every one has his own time.
I agree with you, it's a relief to think that they're no longer suffering the pain and that nothing can hurt them again :)

Hi there. Yes, hearing your thought makes me conclude that your father is really a great man. How I wish I could tell that to my father too. My father is still alive but he don't live with us anymore. Just this year, my mom and dad separated for some reasons. I hope he is always okay. Still I miss him and love him. It also do hurts me knowing that he is still alive but the presence was not there anymore.

Hi Lex. Yes, my father is a great man. His humility makes us so proud of him.
Sorry to know about your parents' separation. We can never judge their decision for there might be really valid reasons why they chose to live separately. Before, I believed that separated parents would only create a negative effect on a child, but now I understand why some things are not meant to live together. I guess it's better to have separated parents than parents who only fight when they're together.
Just bear in mind that even though you can't see him, he will always love you. He and your mom loves you unconditionally:)

You will always miss him but it is good he lived in such a way that you have confidence in his salvation.
