Help there is a hole in my carpet

I guess I didn't close the door to my dogs kennel all the way and she escaped. I keep her in the den with the door closed. She decided she wanted to leave the den and dug a hold in my carpet under the door. I am moving out in less then a month and I cannot afford to pay a good $1000.00 for the carpet. Is there anyway I can fix this? Its right under where the door sits so its not in a super obvious spot.

Since it isn't a obvious spot you could try to patch the area until you find a better solution. Cover the area to be removed with a piece of trimmed scrap carpet. Use some double sided tape after you trim away the damaged carpet. Hardware stores carry remnant and remnant pieces for pretty cheap.

If you are upfront with the landlord you should be able to come to an amicable solution.

You can buy metal edging strips that could go over the bad place and tel the landlord that the carpet was getting rucked up by the door!
