hello too. yes, i've been to a cave.. well, two actually. the first one was back in my province. i did not go further than a few meters in, though. but still. and the second one was in the sumaguing caves of sagada, mountain province. it is a tourist destination, and we have a local guide. so i didn't fear anything unpleasant inside since it was frequented by many others. the only thing i felt was cold. there were wet portions of it. so the air was damp and i was quivering all the way to the exit. it was fun, though.

I have been in a cave many years ago when I was young. It was my students who took me into a cave where the soldiers used to hide during the war. It was difficult to climb into the cave in some parts of it because it was very narrow and we had to climb in. It was really hard though. When we got into it, we found some bones inside it. It was damp and dark inside. Back to then, we did not think too much of the possibilities of there being snakes inside. Thinking of it, it was still a wonderful memory to me. Thanks for the discussion. Have a good day.

The last time I visited a cave is when I was in grade school. It was an hour walk inside the dark and muddy cave. I don't see that much but it seems like I am entirely on a different world. The cave is kind of creepy.

I've been to a couple caves here in the Philippines. Since those caves were meant for tourists, the caves were clean and not a danger to the people. There are caretakers who would make sure there are no snakes or other wild animals that could harm the tourists. In one cave, we went spelunking, and I didnt see any snake or other animals in there. But the stalactites and stalagmites were pretty. There was also this cave which can be explored by a small boat. And, there were sea snakes and bats, but we weren't harmed.

I have been in one, just once. We visit our teacher's quarry mine in the mountains and we get to go trekking and we ended up in a cave! It's cold in there, dark and scary. There are lots of bats and there was even a family of baboons! It was fun and we planned on doing it again though it never really transpired.

exploring a cave is a totally fun. i have experienced being in a cave at puerto galera when we went there to do island hopping and swimming. almost half of the cave has water so you will need to swim to be able to explore it. i was afraid at first but it became fun while inside the cave seeing bats.. hehe

yes, I tried only once, when we were in Sagada few years ago, we went to Sumnaguing cave which is very popular there. However, I did not go further like my friends did. And when we were going up already I found my self having hard time to breath. I thought I'm gonna pass :) Thankfully I did not. :D

I have been to this cave many times http://www.marblearchcavesgeopark.com/ Caves are said to be "living" when the formation process by water is still continuing..the Marble Arch caves have an underground river system flowing through them-walking tours go through them, which includes a trip on a boat on the river underground..it's very peaceful down there!

when I was younger I use to climb mountains, not the mountains we know now as tourist attractions or " in the beaten track" I climbed unknown mountains from unknown parts of our country with funny names like "Sigkup" and "Bontolan", almost all mountains in the Philippines have caves or smaller ones called "grottos" , I explored ones that caught my fancy especially where water seeped in to form stalagmites and stalactites sometimes forming saintly figures that were formed for thousands of years. Don't get me wrong. I also love tourist or explored caves already like in Baguio etc.... and they are so beautiful, our foreign friends should come to see them especially Palawan or the Biak na bato cave where the Philippine revolutionaries hid, it's only in Bulacan, so near Metro Manila

yes, when you are inside the cave, it feels like adventurous wild in there but it is scary too maybe the cave will collapse and then you will stuck inside when there is shaking of the earth. another one too is that afraid that there would be wild creatures inside and will bite you gee, very wild imagination popped up when you are inside in it. but quiet remarkable experience. thanks for sharing this :)

hello aslia I have never enter a cave yet but I have experienced entering a tunnel - a gold mine tunnel to be specific. though it's a man made hole in the earth, the tunnel in Baguio is cold and dark, the only light we could see is the light from our flash light. maybe in the future I would consider exploring a cave. by the way they call this cave adventure "Spelunking"

hello! Wow! That's a very exciting experience that you have right there. I haven't been in a cave but I'm open to trying to be in one. :) I've climbed a mountain though. But it was probably 7yrs ago. I'm thinking maybe in a couple of years, I'll try and invite my friends to visit one, just for experience :)

I've been a few caves, when I lived in Colorado we visited a few cave that allowed us to go deep into the mountain, so deep and dark that we couldn't see our hands in front of our faces. It was cold too, since there was no sunlight there was no heat. It was an experience because we learned a lot about caves such as stalagmites that are on the floor and stalactites that are on the ceiling. You had to make sure you didn't trip over the stalagmites on the floor while making sure not to hit your head on the stalactites hanging from the ceiling. I recommend going with a guide since they know the best routes. Go spelunking and have fun!

I had gone into a cave once. That was in Dauis, Bohol, the Hinagdanan Cave. Inside the cave is a river. When I was there, I felt as if I can't breath and there was fear because it was very dark and you can hear the sound of the river. I didn't stay there for long.

No, I haven't been in any cave all my life. I am wishing to go and visit the famous Tabon Cave and the underground river both in Palawan. By the way, my late mother also hail from Pangasinan and I am not aware of any cave in Pangasinan although I know it has some mountains. Have a good evening. Ciao!

I was in a cave once. It was incredibly boring. It was in upstate Pennsylvania in a coal mining town for a school field trip years ago. We sat in carts and went through this damp and dreary cave. There was nothing interesting to see. I know some caves are full of beautiful crystals but this one was just boring. My social studies teacher kept singing the song Working in a Coalmine and we all wanted to slap him.
