Lately I've been losing interest in the tv show Once Upon a Time. This new season is all over the place and I feel like nothing ever really happens. Each episode features some new fairytale character and it's starting to get a bit old to me.
I just got done watching one of the episodes I had recorded and in addition to the fairytale characters, they also added a Frankenstein monster story. I love the idea of the show, but this new season doesn't seem to be going anywhere too fast and I'm getting tired of watching it. Since I've watched it since the series premiere, I feel like I can't just stop in the middle of it. For some reason I always have to finish watching or reading everything I start.
I'm hoping that as the series continues it gets a bit more interesting. Pretty soon they're going to run out of fairytale characters and won't have anything left because I just feel like right now, the story isn't going anywhere.

I loved that series. I have watched some of the older ones on Netflix. I don't have cable in my room so i can't watch the new episodes. The only cable box is in the living room. I like how it goes from fairy tale to reality. The witch is the mayor. I can see the comparison of their places in reality and the story book characters. I miss seeing the newer episodes, but maybe they will come out again on Netflix.

The first season was good, but the second season is just all over the place and going nowhere. You can always watch the new episodes on abc.com or you can download the abc app to an iphone and watch the new season for free.

I have to agree. I feel like nothing is happening. I mean I know they wanted to explain the stories of different characters and well.. Charming and Snow's story doesn't seem to have much they can do to it. Regina's story seems like it had way too much to it and all these other characters that keep coming in is a bit much. I wish they would take the time to explore more of the characters like they did in the first season. It wasn't a new character almost every episode, but more of the characters that were already shown and established. Even if they keep adding more, I would like to see more of their individual stories. That is what got me hooked on the show in the first place.

Exactly. I liked it much better when they would show the fairy tale lives of the people who live in Storybrook. This season is just really overwhelming because they're always adding a new character and then nothing happens and we don't really learn anything about them. The whole thing with Emma and Snow trying to get back to Storybrook is going nowhere and they keep adding too many things to the Queen's story.
I really enjoyed the first season but this second season is all over the place with nothing happening. Now, instead of watching it for entertainment, I only watch it because I've already started the series and I have to finish.

Well, now it's three months later. Are you still watching it? Did you see the latest episode where Rumple calls in the favor Emma owes him? He wants her to accompany him when he looks for his son. Wanna bet his son turns out to be Emma's Talahassie boyfriend, aka, Henry's father? How's that for stirring the pot?

I have the new episodes recorded but I haven't watched them yet. About halfway into this season I did notice a bit of a change and it seemed like the plot was starting to get itself back together again. I'll be interested to see what happens in these new episodes and I'm hoping the plot becomes a bit stronger and isn't all over the place.

I wanted to watch the show when it first started but I had a lot going on and kept forgetting when the show was on. A friend of mine bought the first season on DVD so I just finished watching it the other day. So far, I really like the show. One reason it seems all over the place (I haven't seen any of the second season yet) is because it's from the writers of Lost. I really loved Lost because they were so great at tying stories together and keeping my attention, making me want to continue watching. I believe that Once Upon A Time is the same way.

I feel the same way. The first season was based more on the original fairy tales with some twists. Now it seems like they just keep throwing any character they can think of into the mix and making up some kind of backstory. I think the problem is that the first season's storyline came to a logical end and they weren't thinking about a second season. The show has really lost it's way.

That's exactly how I felt too. The first part of the second season they just had a new character in every episode. The plot was all over the place and it took forever for things to make sense. I haven't watched the newer episodes that have come on after the holidays but I'm hoping they'll make more sense than the other ones.
